I was very much in the same boat. But then as third edition came out, I actually met a group of people who were all heavily into role-playing games, and this was their go-to. We've now been playing since 1994. Not shadowrun specifically but something every weekend.

Weird. Shadowrun 3rd edition was our go to game for years. We would play SR, something else, back to SR, a new game, back to SR... That was the cycle for over a decade.

According to our neighbor, in his 20 years here he has had about 10 minutes of power outages. Now, the yard is a mess and so are the roads, but the Woodinville house lost power 3-4 times a year. And looking to the outage map, it is still out there.

Plus side of the new house, power never went out last night. I looked at the outage map and it looks like we live in a magic square that has power while all the surrounds areas do not. According to the map of the old house, they lost power around 8 last night and it is still down.
