APRIL FUELS

My take away was: weâre taxing the fuel companies less because trickle down economics is a flawless model and Shell and BHP will absolutely pass that savings on to you regular folk. But thatâs no guarantee and you regular folk really should just take the bus or walk.
AI Slop
I liked the bit when he said the fuel companies will be taxed less and you can catch a bus or walk. Nice.
Nope, not even remotely interesting or informative đ„±
I wonder if the PMsâ address tonight will leverage the war to fast-track grandiose energy infrastructure projects
I think all we are seeing here is a transfer of the hydropower previously allocated to Liberty Bell Bay, which went into voluntary administration at the end of March
TAS fares were already cut in half last year in a bid to boost ridership. But the real issue isnât cost, itâs that Metro provide an infrequent and unreliable (aka: shitty) service. But with a driver shortage, the gov canât actually run more buses, so the free fares really are entirely performative.
HIF announced back in September last year it planned to build its e-Fuels facility on the former Burnie Paper Mill site. I'm guessing they haven't started.
This is very likely how the state government has been able to guarantee 104 megawatts of power for Firmusâ AI token factory in Launceston.
On a positive note, we now have a ballpark figure for how much power TEMCO actually required to operate. We still don't know how much they paid for their hydropower, of course. Likely a similar figure as Tasmania's other major industrials, which I suspect is literally nothing.
Pretty safe to say the only reason the state gov has guaranteed Firmus 104MW for Launceston's AI factory is that Liberty Bell Bay finally keeled over and died
Anyone here from Burnie? How's the e-Fuels plant coming along?
Hey auto manufacturers, I'd say about now is the time to go all in on full electric vehicles.
The Darkness were excellent in Hobart tonight... but "One Way Ticket to Hell⊠and Back" deserves more love in the live set. I told my Scottish brother-in-law to brace for Knockers or Hazel Eyes... but after a few early Metallica-leaning moments, Iâm now wondering if album twoâs been quietly retired?
I donât want AI to hallucinate shit art from stolen imagery⊠I want a bathroom cleaning drone that cleans my toilet so I can spend my time making art. #dji #showercleaningdrone
Why property owners would rather a cinema remain dormant, becoming increasingly derelict, than have it leased to an aging hipster cinephile who would transform it into a(n unprofitable but thriving) community centre is just beyond me. Itâs either 1000% profit for these types or nothing at all.
Sandy Bay is both a terribly rundown shithole and the most expensive suburb on the island. This is what Tasmanians actually mean when we say we do things differently here
I cannot physically read GPT articles now.. you can always tell. It is everywhere and authors are getting incredibly lazy
Do I need a shock resistant phone case because I drop my phone all the time or do I drop my phone all the time because shock resistant phone cases make my phone so bulky and cumbersome that I drop it all the time
Hello, 2026. Promise Iâll post more on here. Shouldnât be too hard
No doubt, Brigitte Bardot was flawed. But humans are multifaceted, and she inspired generations of creatives who in turn have inspired me... it's an unquantifiable impact. Great article. Loved the considered ending.
I am questioning the legitimacy of the FIFA peace prize

Launching my sisterâs new book this Fri at Parliament House. It tells the funny, fascinating story of the 1st women elected to fed parliament & the absolute absurdity they faced on day one: there were no womenâs loos. If youâre into politics, inclusion or a cheeky bit of toilet humour, come along đ
I thought I'd watch three minutes of Andrzej Bargiel skiing down Mount Everest... and ended up watching the whole thirty minutes! Refreshing to see @redbull.com producing videos without AI filler, clickbait or performative drivel... the production feels like a nature doc â really wonderful stuff.
The Cable Car returns! I propose a âvista infringementâ trial: one year with a giant inflatable cable car dangling in front of the Organ Pipes. Must be entirely taxpayer-funded. I wouldnât have it any other way. Letâs see if it really would be the monstrosity weâve been promised.
Saw a gig poster today for a black metal band called âDoom Scrollâ⊠bloody brilliant đ â ïž
How long is an acceptable amount of time to wait for a burger đ getting close to 20 minutes and Iâm hangry
