WOW! What a first day. Some awesome runs, a relatively smooth stream and we smashed our original ยฃ500 marathon goal with a day in hand!
More tomorrow and we'll have a milestone incentive for me to dress as a certain espionage agent for my run! See you then!

I'm on my way Manchester! I chose a slow mode of transport, but I'm nearly there! Don't start without me @albionspeedrun.co.uk!
This is it. 9 months since I started planning and reaching out, it's all come down to this. Our first live event starts tomorrow and I couldn't be more grateful for the support we've had in the lead up to it. Thank you to everyone who's contributed, followed, shared. I'll see you on Twitch tomorrow!

Albion Speedrun Marathon Manchester Schedule
This week's the week! Albion Speedrun Marathon Manchester starts this Saturday at 10am BST!
If you're headed to Manchester we can't wait to meet you! For everyone else, we'll catch you over at twitch.tv/albionspeedrun
ASC is indeed the new event that I'd been building towards with this, very excited for our first event next week. I'm glad you've enjoyed the thread, I like coming back to it to see how much the package has evolved over the last year.
And there's another event! Was pleasantly surprised to be approached by the Italian Speedrun Communty to ask if ASC would be interested in providing an English restream of their upcoming marathon. Super exciting times, particularly for a brand new organisation. Come lend us your voice!

Took Alex to work today. To say we slayed is an understatement.
We're getting so much closer to our first live event in Manchester! But we've got one more AMAZING surprise for you. We've managed to source a raven costume so our mascot R.N.G. will be at the event! We are after a volunteer to wear it, so please email info@albionspeedrun.co.uk if you're interested!

We got kooky controllers on Passion Project this Friday night! You aren't gonna want to miss it!
Hope you're ready for runs on Friday, cause @ambercyprian.bsky.social and I have got EIGHT lined up for ya!
I'm kicking us off with a trip to Poland, with Chottue on Kao Kangaroo, Gyom and solist_ with co-op Dying Light, @zolaaunderscore.bsky.social on Super Taxi Driver, and FOK on SUPERHOT! PHEW!
19. Bluey's Quest for the Gold Pen. I LOVE Bluey. I love watching it with Alex, and we read him the books, he's got clothes and toys etc. I've held off the first one as it'd be great to play with him, but the latest one looks like it could be a fun mobile run, which I've not tried before.
We're now less than TWO WEEKS AWAY from our first live marathon in Mamchester! If you fancy a weekend of fun, gaming, anime and, of course, speedruns, the come check out Manchester Anime & Gaming Con! We'll be there 11th/12th April!

Oh go on then, since it's doing the rounds. I can think of a few off the top of my head.
18. Sir Whoopass. One that SuaveBeardson has tried to get me to run in the past. I've got the game but only played the demo. It's a very tongue in cheek RPG adventure that would be a very silly time. Maybe one day I'll get to it.
17. Crash Bandicoot. So I already run 1 from the NST collection, but I have previously been pushed to try and learn the original. You don't really respect the polish of NST until you go back to the PS1 version!
16. MGS: Portable Ops. A massively overlooked game in the series, PO is the fantastic older brother to PW. It's one I've looked into for speedrunning, but never gotten started. Disappointed it's not in Master Collection Vol.2, as that would be further incentive to run it.
15. Lion King. Did you know my wife @heidihihi.bsky.social is a speedrunner too? She's only done a couple of games and hasn't tackled any for a couple of years. But Lion King is one she's great at and I've suggested before I should join her on the boards. Might be an autosplitter project too!
14. Jak & Daxter. Another one which I tried and couldn't do one trick so gave up. I managed to get to the second area quickly, but couldn't do the skip to the second boss. These were quite early on in my speedrunning career, so I'm more disciplined to give these another crack now.
13. Spyro 2. Of the original Spyro games, 2 is my favourite, having finished it multiple times. I started trying to learn it, but there's a very accurate critter bounce required very early on that I couldn't do and it put me right off. Haven't looked at the remaster run, so that might be an option.
12. Pepsiman. Another one from a community poll that I tried learning off stream but really struggled. It's a very silly game and the mechanics are fairly simple, it's just a lot of positioning to remember and errors can be very punishing. Had it on Fast Travel, was very well received.

11. Metal Gear Ac!d 2. Speaking of owing runs, I still owe this one to @plywoodcow.bsky.social. As an April Fools Joke a few years ago I posted a screenshot of me finishing the run, which was completely doctored and I don't think he's ever forgiven me. Gruelling run, love the game.
