We all known A*azon tends to sell books bellow list prices, but I've recently found them selling books at below WHOLESALE prices. I know this because I own a store. That's fucked up.

So, uh, that’s a gross ass thing for Hachette to do. Two things can absolutely be true at once and it’s this - any use of AI in books should not be accepted.

Not from authors. Not from publishing houses.

On March 19th Hachette Book Group made headlines for terminating a book contract with author Mia Ballard over her alleged use of AI in her novel Shy Girl; meanwhile, Hachette has negotiated with the AI editing software company Alighieria to integrate full-scope AI editorial correction tools into their production process.

Trad publishers: we produces better written books than indie.

Genre Eligibility Genre Requirements & Romance: your central plot needs to be Fantasy or SciFi or a genre mashup which includes Fantasy and or SciFi. Books where the central plot is a romance (and the SciFi/ Fantasy elements are mere backdrop to it are, alas not a good fit for this blog. Books with romantic subplots are ok, so long as there's a Fantasy/ SciFi or subgenre of either main plot. Eg. Ready Player One, SciFi with a romance arc where both LI's are also saving the (future) world from a SciFi villain would be fine. Rep Eligibility Minimum Rep Requirement: Queer inclusive and normative Fantasy and SciFi. (Meaning at the very least you have queer side characters. And characters in your book do not expect everyone to be cis/ het -your book is not cis-het normative. Cis/ het and queer authors are all welcome.) Especially welcome: Queer main characters -especially trans- especially written by queer/ trans authors! Bonus Rep: found family/ friendship group rep. Disability -including neurodivergent- rep, and -if your books is set on Earth- cultural and ethnic diversity. Categories Eligible: YA and Adult Fiction, short stories, novellas and full length novels.
