June 22, 2007:
Canada's first (and only) official F5 struck the town of Elie, Manitoba. The twister's path was erratic and contained several loops. Several homes were destroyed, including one that was completely swept away. Amazingly, no one was injured or killed.

Very concerned for our family cabin at Wallace Lake this summer. The long range couldn't look worse for fire conditions and the increasing southerly winds this week may push the fire towards it.
