Bitcoin is co-opted. That which starts out at an alternative is subsumed into part of the social/governmental host. Worker revolt became unions, Tea Party became Republican, Occupy became the Democrats.

When it comes to generational wealth, too many business folks I have known left it to a generation composed of idiots who redistributed it to drug dealers and pole dancers, so redistribution does eventually happen.
