This Is Just To Say
I have turned off
the AI features
that were in
the update
and which
you were probably
hoping
to monetize
Fuck you
they were stupid
so unnecessary
and so annoying
Simple, direct graphic proclaims "Support These Data Centers: Schools, Libraries, Bookstores.

I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses
Or, and hear me out on this, no?
And I think there’s a real risk that we sigh in relief and move on and we should not do that
so, he should still be removed from office as soon as humanly possible
A WHOLE CIVILIZATION WILL DIE TONIGHT My son needs lunch, and I have to put his backpack together, but a whole civilization will die tonight, so I'm wondering if they've closed their schools. Like, a snow day, maybe, except instead of snow it's "keep your children home so if you die, you die together" — instead of "well open back up once the plows have cleared" it's "we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow, hold your babies tight." It's just "talk" I'm told, which I've been told before. "It's how the president makes his deals." But I've never heard anyone talk about other human beings this way, and I'm not certain I can look my son in the eyes if we all agree to stomach it one more time. A civilization will die tonight, but as I zip up his backpack and kiss him off to school I think: if this is what we call leadership then I'm not entirely sure ours isn't already dead. @michaelfdubois Mukad A QuBoy @michacifdubois
Brutal.
look, I may not approve of Donald Trump bombing Iran's civilian infrastructure, but he is our president and I will defend to the death his right to be removed from office, arrested, stripped of his wealth, tried for his crimes and chucked straight the fuck into some hellhole prison
Things that help calm the nervous system, quickly:
- Box breathing (in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4, repeat)
- Immerse your face in cold water (activates mammalian dive reflex)
- Humming (stimulates vagus nerve)
- Exercise (anything helps, outside even better)
- Impeachment and removal
welp unfortunately it looks like the world actually is a complicated place that requires us to put smart people in charge, hate to say it but sometimes shit matters and its not all a troll
*sigh*
If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it.
If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it.
If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you.
I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.
I work alone in my office on Mondays, except there was someone there today, and WOW I scoff at my emails a lot more than I thought I did.
Every time I hear men talk about destroying this planet so they can travel to a dead one, I think about how miraculous the existence of Earth is, and how capitalists should never be permitted to make decisions about space exploration.

police lie, and have no duty to protect you
if nothing else, there is something to be said for spending time outside in the sun with thousands of people who share your anger at the state of things
Fuck ICE and illegal wars. Impeach Trump. No Kings.

That was a pretty crazy thing to see out here. This isn’t Boston or even one of the “some exit off 495” suburbs. We’re 45 minutes from the nearest “city”.
Buncha the whitest people you ever saw chanting “HANDS OFF MY NEIGHBORS” and “IMMIGRANTS MAKE US GREAT”
I just wanted to come by w my kid to show him what’s up and instead I’m trying to explain what “if it’s brown, flush it down” means in the context of 1930s Germany and 2020s America and why it’s a sign at a march
Granny sitting Bernie Sanders style in a folding chair (it’s freezing) wearing a homemade scarf holding a sign that says FUCK THIS SHIT 💀💀💀
I cannot stress enough how these are PTA moms and soccer coach dads and I can best describe the vibe as “festively bloodthirsty”
Walking thru the “Ultra Normie” No Kings rally in my extremely rural, white town and there are Patagonia wearing moms carrying signs that say “DEAD PEDOPHILES DONT REOFFEND” and “ICE GETS THE WALL” and I hi fived an old guy with a sign that said MY DADDY FOUGHT NAZIS AND SO WILL I” this is wild
In retrospect, that would’ve been best!
Nothing was taken, so I have no idea what the motivation was. But the bus was so full that 10+ people must have watched her do it and said nothing???
One morning this week, traffic was TERRIBLE and the bus was absolutely packed. It was miserable. A lady behind me said, ‘oh, the zip is open on the front pouch of your backpack, shall I close it?’ which I thought was so kind!
Until I got to work and found she’d *unzipped* every zipper! So weird!
…used to recruit governors - personal networks and recruitment consultants.
I also think that genuine independence is already severely compromised, and being paid by the executives you’re meant to be holding to account isn’t going to foster an attitude of healthy challenge.
