Woke up this morning knowing that I had too much yellow squash and basil. So I made Squash Puppies to go with lunch. Gluten free and vegan! They were kind of a hit ๐
My school's garden team is literally the best and these lettuces are actually perfect. Go team!

I did a lil beef bacon project. Next time I'm going to get beef belly to make it. It's a maple and black pepper bacon. It took a week to make including the curing smoking then chilling. I think we did a great job and I can't wait to do another bigger one! We made BLTs out of it ๐
Someone gave me some sunchokes from their garden yesterday so today I roasted them up, then made creamy Dijon & mushroom chicken and stir fried kale and quinoa. I think it was a win ๐
I was tasked to make a Persian love cake. It's made with almond flour, semolina, orange zest & yogurt. I made lemon rosewater simple syrup to soak it in overnight. Then I topped it with Greek yogurt icing, brown sugar cardamom pistachios & dried flower petals. ๐๐๐ Is this on my menu soon? IDK๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ
I saw some corned beef on a reel & realized that it is Corned Beef Season. I made some in my instant pot. I cooked it in stout, horse radish, grain mustard & Dijon, then roasted it in the oven at 400. I drizzled it with hot honey bc why tf not? We ate it with potatoes, rainbow carrots & cabbage.
Made some Greek chicken meatballs full of dill, parsley and oregano ๐ made a Herby cucumber salad and some quinoa with almonds, peppers and raisins.
Being very nice to myself in a world that is aggressively mean. Cod cooked in coconut milk and spices, lavender basmati rice and an arugula salad with onions, golden raisins, blue cheese and a blackberry jam & champagne vinaigrette. All of these flavors seem random, but so am I and it's still ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Lunch today was beef kofta meatballs with sundried tomato hummus, sumac onions and a tomato and cucumber salad, among a few other things ๐
Kinda just wanted some comfy noodly warm goodness so I made tuna noodle casserole with toasted panko and a bag of those lil peas and carrots that lived on the bottom of my freezer.

I made so many things today! Pita pizza for today, then chicken kebabs, rice, veggies, chicken Alfredo lasagna & beefy cheesy pasta bake for a client, and chicken salad for tomorrow...whew.
I haven't made my ginger beer in a hot minute, but today I had some ginger, some brown sugar and some time. It's a bit sweet and not as spicy as I'd like, but we gonna work with it.

Update: they ate the green beans. There's just enough left to add as a dinner side for me lol SUCCESS!!!

Did my first lil baby pop up today. I decided to do one at the school to test out how I feel about it, mostly because I didn't want to rent out a space away from all my spices and supplies ๐๐๐ I did lemon pepper wings, buffalo wings and yakamein wings (Creole and Chinese flavors!).
Oh hai. I'm cute.
IDK who this is for and this may sound weird but I mix my tuna salad by hand (with gloves!) and the texture is pretty perfect because it evenly distributes the ingredients. So like...knead your tuna? ๐๐๐

They had turnips, rainbow carrots and sunchokes roasted in the oven along with mushrooms, butternut squash, onions and eggplant. With just salt, pepper and olive oil.

A coffee house style lemon pound cake. ๐๐๐ My order is usually a matcha oat milk latte with a slice of this. Glad I figured this one out. I changed the recipe slightly to include ricotta cheese. It is bouncy, tender, lemony and just good ๐
