The cover of the forthcoming deluxe edition of the Appleseed manga.
Goodness, I did *not* need to spot this on Amazon this morning.
I'm so sorry, that's an awful thing to live with. Hope you'll be okay, in time.
It was absolutely fine for me when I used it for Linux handheld images before, so running into all of the issues I did caught me out. I'll keep Ventoy in mind now though, thanks. Also went for an SN7100 in the end so thanks for the tip there too!
An AMD 9800X3D CPU, seated in an AM5 socket.
System specs via BIOS. Still need to add an exhaust fan and some larger non-OS storage.
The desktop view of Bazzite, currently my new home. Will see how I get on with it.
A shot from the Pragmata demo. A game that scales well but it's still nice to have lots of extra options unlocked. The system barely broke a sweat running this.
Second PC build done. Going from Win10, i7-8700k and 1080Ti to Linux, 9800X3D and 9070 XT. Amazing how capable my original system still is but a nice upgrade nonetheless. Looking forward to tackling my Steam backlog.
Happy anniversary to the English translation of Tenchi Muyo RPG! π₯³ππ
Thanks to LNF Translations, we have this fun SNES strategy RPG. Itβs similar to FF Tactics, with large, beautiful sprites and plenty of Tenchi Muyo fan service.

Agnes Skinner from The Simpsons. Caption reads: "I kept screeching and screeching".
Our cat, on the other side of a locked door while I've been putting together the PC in another room today, to make sure she doesn't cause any disasters:
Was not expecting Balena Etcher to be the major stumbling block in getting the new PC running. Ugh.

PSA for those who have switched over from Windows to Linux for gaming (via Steam):
As you may know, each game running via Proton is given its own prefix, simulating locations like Documents / Appdata to house saves + configs.
That prefix, and all its files, is deleted ENTIRELY upon game uninstall.
Ooh, thanks! Quite tempted by that bundle with Crow Country too.
At the time I was wondering if the output would become less and less relevant to humans. It seems like such an obvious weakness but it almost never seemed to come up, handwaved away by relentless boosterism. The idea that models are slowly suffocating themselves into rot is quite funny though.
The idea of models progressively ingesting more and more output from other models instead of human sources, the homogenisation of data and subsequently experiencing the equivalent of generation loss is something I was discussing at the advent of LLM use, once I learnt how they were trained.
Are those decent? The 1TB model is cheaper than the Samsung EVO Plus at the moment.
I bought a 4TB WD SN850X for my wife's Mac Mini last year and it has remained completely unused. I'm on the cusp of asking nicely if I can use it instead as it has since doubled in price!
Resident Evil Zero ~ γγ€γͺγγΆγΌγΓ (2002)

Watched the price of the SSD I was considering for my PC climb by over Β£60 in two days, while I wait for payday. What an absurd world.
Yep. You need to see everything on screen when you're spending that sort of money.
Yeah, they sounded a lot happier when they were discussing their personal projects.
A snap from an intermission sequence from Parasite Eve for PS1, with an isometric crunchy polygon New York City seen from above, with a glowy green lights river bridge in central perspective. "It all started with this incident. 6 days that were to become a nightmare for all."
When I worked in the same building as Disney I used to overhear their artists talking in the lift about having to do stuff like spending the day learning to reproduce characters like Goofy exactly to the company's standards. It sounded so rote and soulless.

Oh goodness. A review might turn out to be an expensive read...
I'm an admirer of the works of both Rene Magritte and Gary Numan, but only today have I found out about this.

It's interesting how internet connectivity has basically ruined the experience of using older consoles to some degree. Booted up an Xbox One S today and it's so darn slow - just insanely bad. Up to date 360s and PS3s are slow too. Yet, you boot a PS2 or a GCN? Feels as snappy as ever.

I can almost hear the theme to a Resident Evil Saturday morning cartoon.
Talk about nailing the brief. These are amazingly convincing.
Happy birthday! :)
Loved this at the time and still have my UK copy. My dad heard me shouting into the microphone and came into my bedroom, wondering what on earth was going on.
Watched Grave of the Fireflies for the first time last night and had a lump in my throat within the first few minutes. Absolutely heartbreaking.
