this channel not only saved me in college to help with my understanding of political connections to literary movements, but also helped me shape my lessons when I became a teacher. these videos are not just a silly Green brother side-project; they provide equitable education.

Happy Independent Bookstore Day 📚
Not everyone can always get to their library. It’s important for kids, for people to build their home libraries. To discover books they love so much they reread them over and over and over again.
Enter one of the library’s greatest friends… the indie bookstore 💛
This collection is amazing! I use different essays every year and my students are always moved by it. Absolute steal!!
This is one of my favorite anthologies! I use a variety of the essays throughout my Soph and Junior curriculums.

Happy School Librarian Day!
Definitely going to start doing this. I've been logging loans vs. purchases with my tags, but I love this idea!
Did you get these charts from Storygraph directly or were you tagging all of your books with these so you were able to see these results? I LOVE their charts and would love to see some of the other ways I could filter my reading.
Have any High School teachers used @wewillwrite.com ? I'm looking into it and I think it could be a really fun way to bring in more participation when developing writing. #wewillwrite #highschoolteacher #highschool #englishlanguagearts

We also pay taxes. And so do indie bookshops.

THANK YOU, Abbott Elementary. Thank you, also, for the seemingly simple scene of how beloved it is to hear a book be read aloud 💚
5 stars are rare for me! I could thoroughly enjoy a book, but it didn't have that one element that made it hit that never level. Most books fall in a 3/4 for me.
A window display containing a Black woman's silhouette using vinyl records as her hair, as well as a collection of books highlighting Black stories, authors, and historical figures.
Thrilled without how our #BlackHistoryMonth Display turned out. Shoutout to TikTok for the vinyl idea! Everything was created using Canva and a cricut :) #library #highschool
