I picked up Epoch RPG by Olde House Rules a stone age and dinosaurs game with neanderthal or archaic modern humans! I liked it so much I wrote a supplement, 'Red Ochre & Ruins,' (www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5...) with a homo erectus and lost 20th C. explorers. Check it out!

Next OSR rising star! These 4 beautiful OD&D style books offer original very well-conceived rules with Chainmail spell failure & mishaps, and ideas from Holmes and B/X D&D. It's classic D&D, but with Gamma World, guns, and sword and planet type options!

Interesting, but too minimalist for what I'm interested in these days.

There is a very nice review/overview of the Wizard's Scroll II up on the Smoldering Wizard blog!

Do you have a link for this? Looks cool.
From the Wizard's Scroll II: (www.drivethrurpg.com/.../the-wiza...) - SOLOING: 1) Roll d100 for page # of a fantasy book, 2) Roll d20 for the line #, 3) Arrange the words into something meaningful to interpret ‘but’ or ‘and’ from YES/NO oracles. Any one tried this before? #OSR #myOSR

My first book, "Wyrdwarden," a supplement for the rules-lite Mydrwandr RPG by Olde House Rules is now 50% off (only $1.50) on DriveThru. It has adventures and house rules for Mydwandr, but many of the tables and ideas can be mined for any OSR game! Check it out! www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/4...
Well done! You have just the right pedal for the ukulele.
She was a wonderful singer. I also enjoyed watching her performances in Japan with just the stand-up bass as accompaniment -->www.youtube.com/watch
Umm... What's Twitter? :)
Tough question. Go for ones that are a little different than what you know? There are of course great games that don't have a page count much over 100 pages, and some with less. If you try for something really new, go for something with a low page count? OneD6 and Tiny D6 are easy to learn and new.
Full on OSR. None of this 5E superpower stuff. :)
Interesting. Sounds like we have the same goal but will end up with something that looks quite different. I like the weak hit idea. I also wanted to also see if I can have a zone right in the middle where neither side hits. As an added challenge, I'm trying to make my game a d8 system.
I'll let you know how this goes. The system defines characters by skills (with no attributes). So, skills will factor into this, and enemies would have skills too. I thought about adapting the cleric turning table to do one dice resolutions, but I want to see if I can do this without any table.
I am working on a new sword and planet game, but I am stuck on making just the right way to do one dice roll for opposed challenges and combat. For combat, the roll would include hits and failures of either side, and also deal damage or effect. Magic I think would have to be dealt with separately...
Ukulele time out: I think this singer's got it about right.

Waiting for the ambulance driving out of Margo Lago... But probably hoping too much.

I'm very excited to join Bluesky! This is my most recent book "the Wizard's Scroll II" for the WB:FMAG rpg, a 1 year community project available as a PWYW PDF on DriveThru rpg (www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/4...) and also on Lulu in print! I also have many interests, so feel free to come and chat!
