Sure, maybe if the employees themselves are controlling the AI. But man it's hard to navigate the government and that's what gov employees help people do.

I guess I just dont believe that the current AI we have will do the job of gov employees better.

It got carved up by industry. Most of what it did doesnt really matter given industry has the real problems and they're out of reach of academia's abilities. There's some problems here and there, but they're insignificant.

You can kinda squint and say LLM Memory is a next gen academic IR.

I don't know french politics and I'm pretty frustrated that trump was allowed to run given what he did. With that as a preface, real question - did the punishment fit the crime here? I'm asking because I don't know well enough and would like to understand better.

(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

one thing i’m stuck on is this idea that “masculine” energy means license to act like a chud in public, as opposed to more traditional notions of public masculinity, such as those that put a premium on the performance of integrity, honesty, honor and generosity.

Traffic cameras in nyc have been remarkably effective as deterrents, empirically much less biased than actual police, and also made the city $12m in profit each year over the past 25.

There's a lot of talk about how Trump's tariffs may help revive American manufacturing by encouraging consumers to buy American-made goods. If you believe this, I want to tell you a story. 🧵
