(2/2) Commented out is an even earlier title screen similar to the SW97 demo.
(1/2) The Pokemon Gold & Silver source code features a backup of the title screen code from December 1998.
Here's the file location for this one. Other blocksets follow a similar format, just replace the number in the "CEL#".
In the GS SW97 demo, maps outside of demo bounds lack collision due to expecting an older collision map. Thankfully, the source code has updated versions of the collision data which works perfectly with SW97's collision map. Here's Old City's, for instance.
I'm working on an English translation patch for the Pokémon GS Spaceworld 1997 demo!

Episode 2 of our podcast is now out! Bo sits down with drx, Nic, Saz, and Hwd45 to talk about some of our greatest hits.

Also meant you could do this...
If the map boundary offset wasn't broken, this would've been a softlock.
Here's some unused Skateboard functionality!
These holes found in Route 6 were meant to be crossed with the Skateboard. The source code calls them "SKATE_HOLE".
Fixing the movement code for the skateboard alongside fixing the collision ID it checks for shows this in action.
no :)
