Teacher Education in Crisis How was the crisis of teacher supply, teaching quality, and the crisis of confidence in initial teacher education (ITE) policy formation in England constructed?…

I spent today in Manchester at a brilliant focus group event centred around Reimagining Teacher Education. It’s the next stage of a British Academy/Leverhulme funded project run by Viv Ellis (Monash) & @iancushing.bsky.social (MMU).

Benjamin Zephaniah "If you didn't have troublemakers, most women wouldn't have the right to vote, a black person wouldn't be talking to a white person and I'd be back in slavery. We need troublemakers to challenge the establishment. I want to be one of those people."

Failures in IPC decision-making have been laid bare for all to see in the COVID Inquiry - but is it too late to change culture?

We are still making the same mistakes.

But this is a big opportunity for positive change…

Have you read Dave Whitaker The Kindness Principle? Attachment and trauma informed practices should be the underpinning ethos for any school wishing to see positive behaviours all both children, young people and adults - in my opinion. Lots more for me to learn about trauma and attachment. 👍🏼
