Today, Israeli forces fired teargas at Palestinian schoolchildren who staged a sit-in in the occupied West Bank after settlers blocked access to their school.

It’s the first day of class since the start of the Iran war.

This is life for Palestinian children. The world does nothing.

Affordable housing or car parks? The government have dictated that we zone more land for housing.

Do we zone land for private developers into the green belt or council land that can deliver affordable housing just minutes walk from jobs, Luas and amenities?

Is the Minister for Media, Patrick O'Donovan, going to haul the media in every time he disagrees with their coverage of his Government's mismanagement?

It is inappropriate for the Minister to interfere in the independence of media when their reporting does not suit his Government.

The Iran war is exposing the huge risks in our food system No matter where you get your food from, a good chunk of your diet is ultimately reliant on fossil fuels. We already need to change this to tackle climate change, but the Iran war and resulting oil sho...

From fertiliser to diesel to pesticides to the plastic packaging that the food came in — it is estimated that 15 per cent of all fossil fuels go into producing, processing, transporting and storing food.

Hungarian opposition ousts Viktor Orbán after 16 years in power Péter Magyar’s Tisza party wins election as prime minister concedes defeat, in result likely to reshape ties with EU

Seeing Victor Orbán concede defeat feels like a big moment for Europe - we have seen 16 years of eroding social rights in Europe, rescinding LGBT freedoms, rights for refugees and women and building fossil fuel based alliances with Russia

Clodagh Finn: Is another statue the best way to honour our revolutionary women? How do you rectify the myriad wrongs and decades-long sin of omission that have been perpetrated against women of the revolutionary period from early 1900s to the Civil War and far beyond?

Honoring Irish women of the revolutionary period

As Cllr.Donna Cooney, the chair of the council’s commemorations and naming committee, reminded us

“There are no statues to women whatsoever on O’Connell St & very few in Dublin except for fictional characters”
