Missiles otw to Ukraine. I’m already on the metro bc it’s hair wash day and I overestimated my time.

You know, just when I think I’ve learned all the little towns and villages in Kyiv region, an air alert comes along and TG lets me know about a new one.

(The alarm has sounded a WHOLE bunch today)

Air defense working over the capital. Happy new year.

3am, alarm just sounded. Air defense working somewhere a long ways off. There’s a woman in my courtyard absolutely losing her mind screaming. I have no idea what that’s about, but I hope she’s okay.

The one plus side to being underground in a metro on Christmas morning (due to Russian ballistic attacks) is that there’s a pretty good dog parade happening.

Saturday night in Kyiv: heading home from my nail appointment passing machine gunners on the overpass.

Our school let out last Friday, so I was just at home. It was the last day for many local schools, though.

Been back since Aug 23 and haven’t heard an explosion that loud or powerful or CLOSE. Early morning strikes have become a weird part of the routine, especially this fall. This morning was different. Fucking yikes I want this to be over.

JFC LOUD explosions by me. Just at 7am this Friday. Russia is being itself and starting our morning by terrorizing us.

I’ve never wanted to see someone get dog walked as much as I do Tyson Fury.

The TikTok ban is infuriating not bc I’m going to miss Jasper the Doll and Mad Men edits, but bc the government doesn’t give one single solitary shit that the Chinese have access to your data (they’ve been had that). They can’t stand that they’re not the ones controlling your algorithm for once.

The alarm has sounded for like the 8000th time tonight.

I saw a TikTok the other day where a girl said something like, they spent so much time and money desensitizing Americans to violence and death and now wonder why it extends to them, and I just can’t stop thinking about it.

I’m honestly sick at this headline. How misleading to say that Russia is trying to erode support *now*, and not for the past three years.

This is the epitome of loveliness.

This is gonna be so cool.

So, are we all still dipping our toes in the other app to occasionally fight with a MAGA or vatnik, just to stay sharp? Or dipping our toes here as a palate cleanser?
