The Flaco situation made me so sad because a lot of people thought it was better for him to die painfully than to advocate for better care. Idk if this is a similar situation or not but it definitely didn’t help those birds

Man, I can’t imagine either :( They’ve gotten 7 out of 11 total birds back, but one of the hawks they haven’t recovered is blind in one eye

I guess bunch of unreleasable birds were set “free” from a raptor education facility in California and I’m getting war flashbacks to when Flaco was set “free” and died sick and full of poison after colliding with a building

I started treating thrips in January right away and am still seeing adults in my plants which is driving me kinda nuts but I’m treating in the soil now so hopefully I’ll have better results. I’d rather not be doing plant stuff outside in this weather but alas

I can’t make any promises, but if I can get my collection thrip free by Anthrocon, I have like. So many plants. So many. I’ve got anthurium, a bazillion syngonium (tricolor and albo), haworthia, and more. I just want to make sure they’re healthy and thriving before they go out
