Because I'll be honest, I only had PSN for a couple of years just to play SF6. I play more games on Switch/Switch 2 (Mario Kart World, Smash, etc.) so this'll save me more money in the long run.

Now if ArcSys would Guilty Gear Strive to the Switch 2 w/ crossplay...!

Coming from the PS5 ver. I find the Switch 2 ver. is pretty damn good! The 30fps for some of the stuff is whatever but the main gameplay runs great/looks pretty good at 60fps/1080p!

This might be my main version going forward!

Goddamn does Street Fighter 6 push the Switch 2 console into overdrive, this shit is warmer than my blanket right now. lol

But I'm having a blast and I'm reminded why I love SF6 so much. I'm also finding that casual matches are more fun than ranked, much more variety of fighters here. lol

I'm gonna hold off on the SF6 stream until tomorrow. Why? I didn't realize that while the Switch 2 ver. has cross-play, it doesn't have cross-progression. So right now I'm grinding to get Ryu's costume 1 and hopefully by tomorrow night I should be good to go.

Think I might stream tomorrow night for my birthday! I got the Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 as a gift so I might play some online matches! I've been itching to try out Dhalsim for some reason so maybe we can try labbing w/ him, too?

The only way I've watched the theatrical versions is my old 1995 VHS set. I'm looking forward to the 4K UHD they're apparently preparing for the anniversary next year.

Went to a childhood arcade of mine today... and man it was barely recognizable. There was around 20% actual games while the rest were ticket/crane games.

There was a single fighting game-- King of Fighters Neowave. This was THE place to go for fighting games in the 90s in my town.

The new Street Fighter movie has, y'know, fights in it which the 1994 movie barely had any of. Still odd we get characters like Dan and Joe (???) but not Sagat.

Also for the love of god, PLEASE use SF music. It drives me nuts in the Sonic movies that we barely got anything and just generic music.

I would go between Sci-Fi Channel for the Saturday Anime (and MST3K that would follow after), Fox Kids for the Marvel shows, Kids WB for Batman: TAS, Freakazoid and the random syndicated shows like the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z and Extreme Ghostbusters.

Sundays would be Bozo the Clown. lol

Saw Super Mario Galaxy today. It was okay. WAY too much stuff happening with little breathing room or real connective tissue. There was potential for a theme or story about families here but it felt like it was written in a super sugar rush. I think the first movie was better.

I checked out other stuff like the Power Stone machine that was finally working, played some Hard Drivin' and waited to play Crazy Taxi but some dude played it nearly the whole time I was there. lol

I also played Cliffhanger for awhile, it's so weird to play a chopped up Castle of Cagliostro. lol

I was surprised to see SF6 Type Arcade there! I was excited to try it but I could not figure out how to actually start a game. I could get through the menus then a countdown would start w/ Japanese text and hitting the player button looped it back to the main menu. Network only game, maybe?

I went to Galloping Ghost Arcade today! I was originally going to record some footage for the SF video but this was the only time I could record any footage without people there so all I got was a single pan shot of the "Street Fighter Alley." lol

Played Hyper SF2 for awhile, had a lot of fun!

And this got to me thinking about unconventional fighting game characters. Like, are there any older women? And I don't mean in their 30s, I mean like a female FG character similar to Gouken or Heihachi. Because for the life of me I can't think of any that isn't "3000 year old vampire who's a kid."

Re-watching some of the Street Fighter X Tekken CG trailers after not seeing them in over a decade and came upon the Rufus VS Bob one and I forgot how handsome they made Bob. Pair it with Patrick Seitz doing the VA work and he's a surprisingly neat character who is overweight. Rufus though... Yeesh.

Right now I got some KMFDM playing while I'm adjusting the EQ but so far I'm happy and hopefully the headphone jack on the DAC is okay. No hissing/interference I can hear right now through my monitor speakers.

Still, I'd rather not have to spend $65 for all of this. :\

Sufficient to say, I always hated how my PC case's headphone port felt and knew this would happen eventually. Thank god the Realtek driver can override the audio port priority otherwise I would've been SOL on sound.

Also glad my Audio-Technica headphones have the ability to swap cables. Whew.

Nothing like breaking off a headphone jack tip in the headphone port on my PC. Can't get it out so I ordered a DAC/Amp and I'm using the optical port to connect the PC to the DAC. The DAC has a headphone jack in front but I gotta wait for the replacement cable to come in to test it.

Neat and kinda creepy. I never played Capcom Fighting Evolution (heard too much bad stuff about it back in the day) so I don't know much about the character other than Kenny Omega cosplayed as her for the season 2 trailer last year. lol
