Happy National Tea Day everyone...
Posts by Mr Benn
Today I am in one of my happy places.
This is Wormsley in Buckinghamshire where The Army are playing The MCC.
Happy Heavenly Birthday to the legend that is Ray Brooks.
His voice brought Mr Benn to life.
One of my 7 year olds told me that he feels loved by me & that I'm doing a good job of being a dad.
This makes the sentimental 58 year old me feel extremely happy.
If you've got children, I know you will understand how good this feels.
Crikey!!
Looks like a lot of goals at Spurs, and a great result for Chelsea...
Record Store Day...
It was such a pleasure to put this together for RSD 2023.
If you got a copy, I hope you are still enjoying it.
As a teenager in the 80's, Andy Kershaw was a must watch & listen to.
His knowledge & enthusiasm of music was huge, and he had a lovely presenting style.
I'm very sad he's left us.
RIP Sir. Thank you for the magic.
Always great to see Clive Dunn pop up in Mr Benn.
Here he is in his butchers outfit from Dads Army.
He popped up in Mr Benn Zookeeper, David's way of saying we need to look after animals better - especially butchers!
Today I spent the day with farmer Jonathan Bell on his modern mrchanical farm.
So nice to be in the countryside.
Hope you've had a lovely day.
I had been sworn to secrecy about the Mr Benn film plans.
I have huge respect for Kirk Jones, and we have been assured that he will treat the characters with huge respect.
I know this divides opinion, but I am looking forward to seeing it.
Really pleased Billy Idol will be inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame.
He has been Fabulous for ages!

Look at this lovely family of bunnies.
Mummy & Daddy Bunny are very proud of their babies.
It would be so sad if anything was to happen to any of them...
Message from Windy Miller:
I think it's called the Grand National because I lose £1000 every year.
No hanging around in the Pacific Ocean at the end of my Space adventure!!
As if by magic, Mr The Shopkeeper appeared, and I followed him into this cave, and back into the changing room of the shop.
Splashdown!!!
Congratulations to Artemis.
Fabulous to see some Tunnocks tea cake parachutes...
I hope Artemis has Tunnocks tea cake parachutes!!

Aahhh...
A throwback to life at Gordonstoun.
At Glenalmond we had a laundry service.
Mr The Shopkeeper has one of those circus mirrors that make you look fatter than you are.
How charming!!
What a golfer Seve Ballesteros was.
When he arrived on the scene in the 70's he changed how golf was seen.
He brought dynamite to the game.
He would have been 69 today.
So sad he died so young.

Hello! Have you seen Artemis?
Yes! It went that way...
So... Artemis has been round the moon, but have they been to a planet covered in gold & jewels?
I went to Duns to pay my respects at Jim Clark's grave.
This says it all.
Much missed. Never fotgotten.
Jim Clark, the legendary Scottish racing driver was killed 58 years ago today.
He achieved so much.
This signed picture is one of my most treasured souvenirs.
Hello @robinince.bsky.social I saw this at Nice airport & thought of you.
Hope you're very well Sir.
David McKee sadly left us 4 years ago today.
I feel very lucky to have known him.
Through his writing, he very gently pointed the way for all of us to be better people.
Here he is wearing my bowler hat.
Anyone remember what phone network this chap was on?
Yes... It's Yodafone!!
Don't worry, I've already got my coat on!
