Tropy himself is a bard, one who had very little noteriety back in his day. Though his audience was few, the day a tadpole in an aquarium fell upon his lap changed that perspective forever. Who cared how many listeners he had? As long as he had this treasured one. He and that tadpole would spend their days wandering the streets, playing music for all to hear. Unfortunately, one bad slip led to their end. Tropy fell upon the container, shattering it into pieces. He was impaled upon the glass and his tiny friend squashed. But that was not the end of their stories. That tadpole, loyal to the end, became a Pluto. Plutos are the result of a loyal pet's passing, given an Angeloidic body to return to their masters for continued service. And Tropy? He became an Amnesiac; The result of a Mimic filling the open cavity of a deceased person. No one came to scrape Tropy from the ground, no one cared to do so. In a matter of days, he became the perfect host for a wriggling Mimic part to inhabit. Though he lacked his memories, he quickly picked up on pieces of the past; A clown, a bard... And when his Pluto appeared, he remembered he had a friend too. Now they wander the world together, continuing their merriment against all the misfortune that can befall them.

Carnivans come in all shapes and sizes, though the Homo Carnivan is far more uniform in its appearance. In only that they are totally humanoid and not bulbous troll-clown-demons. Meet Tropy One-Name; An amnesiac Homo Carnivan with his pet Pluto.

Carnivans are a breed of Demonoid who emerged from The Abyss through a very physical method. Within the glacial cap of Urtha exists a place called "Frozen Hell". A territory with a two-fold meaning. For one, it is so cold and frigid in this environment that stepping past its veil of ice could turn a man to ice in milliseconds. And for second, within the heart of Frozen Hell is a pit that leads straight into The Abyss; Urtha's version of an infernal underworld. An infinitely spanning yet eternal cramp dimension where all Demonoids originate and are imprisoned. Plenty of times do they attempt to escape, but most who try through Frozen Hell are bricked before they can get very far. Only one specific breed of Demon Spawn managed to adapt, developing bones made of Void Essence to absorb the temperature change and metabolize it. The unexpected consequence of this is the development of chromatic oils across their black-ice flesh. As they descended southward to habitable zones, they would come across the Primed Races and attain predator instincts. By molding the oils across their bodies, they could paint mimicries of faces in mockery of these mortals. It would make their attacks all the sweeter, sowing terror into every strike. Some Carnivans would branch off from this population, soft-hearted and interspersing into Humanity to create more acceptable "Clown People" known as the Homo-Carnivans. But those true-blooded Carnivans would go on to create an avatar for a God of Chaos. The power to warp reality with unpredictable Wild Magic made this new Deity, dubbed Dis-Dis, uncontested by most means. Only by the power of an entire pantheon could his unkempt spirit be shackled, planted right back into the icy fields of Frozen Hell. There he now creates cacophonies from afar, spinning his Wheel of Fortune for anyone seeking a touch of his unpredictable whimsies. To further interact with the outside, he's even split his soul into representatives! A group called the Dis-Court.

Besides Gods of History and Alzheimers, there are many lighthearted Gods in Urtha too. Meet the local Titan of Chaos and Carnivans; Dis-Dis! An obtuse Clown God so powerful, he had to be put in "Gay-baby God Jail" to keep him from eating reality.

Gods in Urtha are conceived through an accidental or intentional climb to power on behalf of a mortal. Every Soul has a Ranking that can be increased under specific circumstances. When those stars align, it can lead to such a power disparity between the entity and their surrounding culture that they effectively become Deified. Surrounding thought-forms further empower and mold them through belief, until they've reached a pinnacle worth of becoming a True-Soul. Things within the depth of space's Eldritch Void look upon them, and select them as their avatar. The personality of the avatar is warped by this presence, but so too is the True-Soul as they become filters for each other. This difference between True-Soul Gods and Unascended Gods is categorized into tiers. Falsehoods are Divinities without a True-Soul, preventing them from having Omnipotence but still granting them an extreme level of power. The first category of Omnipotence are the Totems; Gods of Animals and Dire Animals. Past that are Kami; Gods of Monsters and Non-Animals. And just a stop above are the Titans; Strongest of the Gods within the mortal cut of reality. There IS a category past them that is often unimportant regarding mortal affairs. Primordials are the pinnacle of power, consisting of only four; The Illuminator who originally created everything, Abyssion who seeks to destroy everything, Evergog who is a composite of every True-Soul at the end of time, and The Atlas who is the only God amidst the Primordials who ascended from mortaldom. Above is depicted Merfer; Falsehood of History and Forgotten Gods. Some have nicknamed him the "Alzheimer God", for that is also one of his domains. Being on part of a greater being of decay, Merfer symbolizes the concept of a withering mind. Stuck in the past, losing memories. He is everyone that ever was. And every perspective someone once had on a person. And every stage of a person's life, metamorphosed out of. A schemer, using past to plot the future.

Urtha itself is governed by a great many Gods. Omnipotences keep each other in check through territories and Dominions. The first God to coax the other into their specialty tends to lose. Meet Merfer, a Falsehood of History and Forgotten Gods.

Each row of expression is assigned to one of four characters, with each row being used to determine a specific emotion. In the extra columns, the unique expressions consist of; Bloodmoon for Pran, Hunger for Axel, Annoyance for Joseph, and "Ghost in the Machine" for Wez.

Decided to do some expression tests with the "Main" Characters I've posted thus far! Getting to experiment with closer details on their facial expressions is great for getting a good idea of their habits.

Composing Wez Lexi are a series of traits that has allowed the prior individual to persist long after expiration. An incident that left Wez Anton no more than a skull and brain ensured that his body was useless above anything else. Being a containment unit for knowledge, he was a viable food source for a Moniggi. These beings are raw concentrations of Data Essence, manifested books and libraries by animating ink. Initially, a sort of pocket dimension is bound to the activated book, where a population of Moniggi are cradled. A process of elimination narrows down the group to not more than a handful, who manage to escape into real-space in time. Their instincts drive them to learn and devour any source of knowledge they can find, which molds their bodies to reflect and propagate this knowledge. When a person's mind is consumed, a greater will and personality can allow for their persona to exist within that Moniggi. Wez's benefactor ensured that this would come to pass, maintaining its acting hand in the world. But this was not enough security in his continued existence. That Moniggi naturally encompassed itself around Wez's skull, which was maintained in health with a brief application of Necromancy. Necromancy is self-explanatory at this point, but in Urtha it is a bit more specific. All magical practices are just a form of Essence that has been molded through the psychic web of thoughts, honing in on concepts and making them consistent throughout that magic. The rituals in the practice, influence what they can even do through belief alone. For Wez, the process of imbuing Necromancy Essence into his skull allowed for it to bind the Moniggi mind to the will of his soul. That soul is now harbored in a Ferronis body. Ferronis are automatons who are made to mimic lives and cultures. Unlike Dwarven tech, Ferronis have furnaces in their abdomens to hold the embers of their souls. For Wez Lexi, that furnace is guarded by a screen for emotional projection.

Death is hardly the end, in a world where afterlives are places you can dig and fly to. Wez Lexi is the culmination of several; Moniggi brain consumption, a Ferronis soul-holster, and an Animated skull to round it together. Evolutions a helluva drug.

Dwarves in Urtha are a stout race known for their subterranean lifestyles and crafting capabilities. Beyond being smiths and carpenters, they also house the only industrial complex of the world. Made with tough skulls, large heads, and powerful brains; They were originally created to pacify Humanity through trade. But when the deals went wrong, they put their minds to use creating war machines. Humanity was strong-armed into several agreements that ensured the world's technological progression would remain magically inclined and unautomated. Meanwhile, the Dwarves would prioritize the use of steampower and golemancy to get their resources made. Any self-respecting Dwarf dare not deny themselves a good bit of manual labor, but mass production is a necessity with all of their allies. Alberts are the result of a Dwarf hybridizing with any of the "Whackadoos" of Urtha. Whackadoos are effectively ancient remnants of an original plant animal thing, reproducing through pods of flesh planted into the ground. The result is a Dwarf-Kin whose skull is made with prominent jaws and a smaller brain. Brash as they are, they grow quickly and without very much control. Eventually an Albert will grow to simply be larger than a Dwarf, developing the mind to match. Yet, the older they get, the more mutagenic they become. Small spuds sprout from them that break off and become new Alberts, or their limbs malform and become inoperable. Those parts become amputated and replaced with mechanical components, until they reach elder age. By that point, they are more machine than flesh. With an ever-growing mind that fails to forget, these "Elder Alberts" are treated as fancy meat computers, wired into magitech and used to bank information on a larger scale. Wez Anton has not reached this stage yet, the loss of his limbs actually having been through a tragic mining accident. Most of those parts are made out of Dwarven Steel, with rivets of Sudstaatic Lead.

What's a good fantasy setting without a nice Dwarven equivalent to round it all together? Though Dwarves DO exist in Urtha, there are also many Dwarf-Kin to acknowledge. Meet Wez Anton; An Albert modified with a bit of prosthetic modification.

Axel Bismark is a complicated entity, one who has been molded by chance and undeath into his own unique "Thing". He was born as an Essence Vampire, consumers of magic who adapt when they find their preferred Essence to devour. Axel's just so happened to be Cannibalism Essence, a discovery that would result in his first death by the hands of Joseph at the age of 19. After a stint in The Abyss for his cruel indulgence of his favorite flavor, Axel uses his magical consumption to dismantle his infernal warden. Add being partially Demon and partially a Ghost to his roster of oddities. This particular combination makes him incredibly hard to put down in a long-term sense. Deeper mechanics and numbers behind his existence ensures that, while destructible, he can't be killed in a way that matters. An amorphous body puts this to the advantage, allowing him to mold and reform himself on a whim. Down to even the colors. On his way out of The Abyss to hunt down Joseph, two things happen that add another pair of tools to his kit. First was being cursed by a witch, who imbued him with Static Mania of the Soul. In short, it gives him the Ability to hear the narrative surrounding him at the cost of a deeper insanity. Second was encountering another Demonoid, more ancient than even the warden he devoured. She bestowed upon him the Essence of Void, which has culminated in his greatest tool; The Umbral Flame. By turning his body into caustic tar or blazing fire, he can absorbed just about any material object and add it to his mass. Every ounce of Essence consumed is another point of power in his favor. The depths of his hunger have never been deeper. All of these in hand, he faces Joseph once more; Only to be defeated through grit and force of will. Axel is later condemned into servitude, readopted so his powers can be used for good. To the right of the image are small comical doodles. Beside Axel is a diagram of his face, a gemstone holding his soul, and a blade most cherished.

The third and final officialy Alabastar Brother walks in; Axel Bismark. Adopted by Joseph under similar circumstances to Pran, Axel has proven to be the most troublesome of the lot. Murderous, brash, greedy, and impulsive. And also ugly as sin.

Joseph Alabastar is an Amalgam; Hybrids between species that do not have a set combination. Specifically; His mother was a Mini-Giant matriarch of a prominent smithing company while his father was a Dragon-Kin cobbler of the "Walker-Kin" variety. The only draconic trait he possesses on his tremendous form are scales across his forearms and shins. His intense eyes were a trait inherited from his mother, and used to great effect. A trait he inherited from his father, however, was a condition known as Castrum. While mostly harmless AND found in female Dragon-Kin, males who develop the condition lose waste and reproductive organs in favor of consuming their relevant kind of magic for power and sustenance. Any byproduct of this comes in the form of a dusty material that collects in the sweat. Being bound to the Essence of Light, he works under mechanics close to an advanced photosynthesis. Any source of light can be absorbed for strength and vitality. The resulting sweat can be dried into a sort of holy gunpowder that he has slipped into explosive capsules, as seen in the top left of his image. All armor upon him is a composite of Gold, for its magical conductivity, and Citrine, for its relation to the Essence of Light. These together allow him to eat and absorb through his armor, while fortifying the armor itself. In the top right of the gilded section is a gauntlet imbued with the Essence of Data, allowing him to analyze his foes and catalog information on a whim. Beneath them are his signature weapons; two longswords imbued with the Essence of Imprisonment and the Essence of War. One locks the blade, wielder, and target into place. The other acts effectively as a magic chainsaw. To the top right of the image as a whole are his eyes, and beneath that a photo of himself when he was just a Kindling.

As a follow-up to the thread of art relating to Pran, meet his eldest brother; Joseph Alabastar! Having met under a tragic circmustance, the Mini-Giant adopted Pran as his sibling to help give him a better life. One rife with strife and adventure!

In Urtha, celestial bodies are not spheroids of rock, but rather tremendous monstrosities that float within the depths of space. Many of them cast into shapes nothing like what we would recognize as a moon. The Blood Moon itself is rounded, with a bladed edge to it. All glow it exudes latches on to the minds of those it makes contact with, even going so far as to poison rain water with this madness when the weather is right. Lesser your capacity for violence, greater the influence of the Blood Moon. A Mercenary would be mostly unharmed during the day, but a devote Pacifist would be driven to break their rules. Panthers may hunt more frequently, but Rabbits would become carnivorous in nature. Only on the ecliptic Blood Dusk does this become heightened, adding a semi-physical illusion to the mix. Things that would lack the weapons and tools needed to commit to their madness find shadows encompassing them, forming and molding into hazards befitting of themselves. When a peaceful mind and a peaceful body fall into perfect sync, a very potent unity at that, the individual is given a "Halo" that surrounds the back of their head. A sort of pack leader for the ravenous and driven. Above is Pran, predicted under the extreme effects of a Blood Dusk. What fur he bears has become poisoned with darkness, the illusion of wings and a hidden face drenching him. To each hand bears a sickle, turned from farming tool to weapon in a heartbeat.

Bloodmoons are a common trope in fantasy. For Urtha, they are typically spontaneous. But an eclipse called Blood Dusk is always scheduled around the start of summer. Shadowy, bleeding madness drives the soft and sweet to bloodlust beneath its light.

Devoids, over the course of an extended period of time, will gain strength by consuming the souls of others. The Numbskulls as a group determined the best way to bring back the Arcane Birds, was to sacrifice themselves in a free-for-all. It was a consensual battle, where only one victor could prevail. In the end, their souls were melded into an upright form. Appendages that descend from their shoulders act as prehensile tentacles and whips, while insulating feathers protect and conduct magic to a greater degree. Small digits at the end of these feathered wings act as claws and fingers, while talons upholding the body are purely a factor in balance. A distinctly reptilian tail covered in downy feathers and fur sways from the back. The bony mask and ambient magic are all marred with hints of color from each Numbskull acting as a part of this composite.

As an extension of my prior post, this is the ultimate result of all of the "Numbskulls" coming together. As the semi-soul-eating things that they are, their purpose was to bring back the Arcane Birds. And only as one, could they accomplish this.

Depicted here are 5 individuals created under unique circumstances. Initially, they were a group of creatures called "Chickeggs". The name is self explanatory; Being small bird-like creatures that wear their shells as protective plating. However, each of them were amalgamated with something else. The soul shards of a Devoid, born from the decayed spirit of an Arcane Bird. Arcane Birds are the ancestor of things like the Phoenix, now completely extinct due to their magic becoming specialized over time. When something dies, their Ghost may choose to remain in the world unless they are destined to be cast into The Abyss where all evil tends to go. If a Ghost exists too long, they slowly lose themselves to their most prominent characteristics, becoming a Specter. And if that Specter further rots, they eventually regain a body and become a soul-eating Devoid; Flanderizations and metaphors of a person made completely physical. This particular Devoid was located and subdued by Pran, later being split into shards and spread throughout the group of Chickeggs in an attempt to reintroduce the Arcane Bird's genetics back into the world. Conveniently, this also lines them up to be a bit of a party, fulfilling several different archetypes and working together beautifully. From top left to bottom, then to the right; Pike the Rogue of the group bound to Air Essence, Moug the Tank of the group bound to Earth Essence, Dolp the Cleric of the group bound to Water Essence, Sarj the Leader of the group bound to both Chaos and Order Essence, and Fliz the Wizard of the group bound to Fire Essence. In the center is a banner that acts as a "Coat of Arms" for Pran, inherited by his adoptive brothers and used so that the world may never forget their connection.

Many curious creatures exist in Urtha. Some living, some not, others cast between the ends of that spectrum. There are few yet existing, compared to the many that go extinct. And every Species can bleed into the other, naturally or magically.

Qualada, once Catlina Carlia, was a Dire Rabbit. Much like the rest of the Dire Animals, they bare a person's intelligence and heightened magic. Dire Rabbits are unique in the sense that they are also more person-like in appearance. After a tragic incident around the age of 18, she felt compelled to create a potion that would "Evolve" herself and the rest of her species. The unfortunate alchemical outcome was a tremendous frame, highly toxic secretions, and an inability to hear or speak. Due to this devastating transformation, she retreated from her civilization into the wilderness. Around the age of 48 is when she met Pran, who could both hear and SPEAK to her through their shared connection to Wild Speech. Ever since, the two have been bound as Companions to support one another. Despite her many changes, Qualada has come to appreciate this form. Strong, tall, volatile, amidst many other benefits. The only thing she mourns is the isolation that it brings, but someone's acceptance and compatibility with this state of being has made that fact far easier to handle. Now, she practices her alchemical hobby with the help of Pran as her partner.

Companions come in all shapes and sizes, including Dire Rabbits who have altered their body using complex alchemy. Meet Qualada, once Catalina Carlia. Her situation is complicated, but since her meeting with Pran she's had sickly sweet company.

An image of Pran later into his story, having grown into his station. The plants in the corner, from left to right, consist of; Rainbow Rods, Royal Honeysuckle, and Blossom Blooms. All of which are grown and added to a concoction in the top left. This creamy brew is a foamy, sweet treat made of Honey Slime, Holstaur Milk, and the flower-made spice. Below this drink is a figment of his patron Deity, a "Dead God" associated with underdogs and the down-trodden. It entered his mind initially as a subconscious called "Yuu", working to build Pran the confidence he needs to exist. Eventually, this God leaves him, for it has already served its purpose and there are more like Pran in the world to be saved. Beneath the figment is Pran's Tamer's Tool; A Hatchet amalgamated with his Beastiary. Tamer's Tools themselves are used to subjugate hostile targets, striking at their willpower rather than leaving physical harm. The book itself used to be a normal journal, created by the Tamer's Guild as a momentum of a tragic incident. The blade of the Hatchet is made out of a magical alloy for the culinarily inclined called Cornucopium, while the haft is made of a mossy material called Darenite known for imparting survivability. All trimmings across the Tool are made of Obelite, a material capable of absorbing or dispersing waves and echoes. The silhouettes in the top left are of him and the Dire Hare-Slime he's formed a relationship with.

After leaving his adoptive brothers and entering the Tamer's Guild, Pran has gone on a trip of self-discovery. Hard fought for reasons behind his control, he finds happiness and reasons to be. Clothes greyed, his spirit has never been brighter.

Top left corner has his journal, beneath it being some gardening tools including a trowel and sheer. Below that is the "Egg" he came from. Pran being 4'11", the silhouette comparison poses him against a character 7'3" in height. Below that is a hive of setting specific Bees, with life-infused honey. On the branch beneath is a Warbloom, multi-colored flowers known for emotional regulation. The last object within the gold border is a Puri Puff, naturally doughy shrooms with no toxicity to them. Outside of the border are examples of his neutral and focused eyes, and some funny doodles.

A while ago, I started up a little homebrewed game with some friends. Over the course of many years, its bloomed into me actually writing a book in the setting! Meet Pran Lycan, local soft-boi with some side-doodles of funnies and relevant objects.

Been a bit! Mainly priorities being all over the place, but also dealing with some dissatisfaction with my previous overhaul of the 'UI' for fan-Digimon. I've remade the icons and how I will display that side info going forwards.

An updated layout of Spiritmon's character-sheet. The top-right heart represents HP. The top-left star represents SP. The red sword represents ATK. The purple wand represents SATK. The orange wall represents DEF. The lavender shield represents SDEF. The yellow boot represents SPD. And the pink brain represents INT. Evolution requirements for Spiritmon require their initial Digitama to be hatched. This results in a Newbie level Digimon of the Neutral Attribute, Wind Element, Virus Buster Family, and Sincerity Crest. Spiritmon's Special Move is called Soul Dust. When used, Spiritmon unleashes a gust of blue-hued wind. Mechanically, this Attack does Wind Damage at a cost of 5 SP, using SATK to hit.

Going back and applying some of the new format to the first thing I posted on Bluesky. Spiritmon's pretty simple, but that's to be expected from a Newbie. Further explanations in the Alt-Text.

An updated layout of Dryndalmon's character-sheet. The top-right heart represents HP. The top-left star represents SP. The red sword represents ATK. The purple wand represents SATK. The orange wall represents DEF. The lavender shield represents SDEF. The yellow boot represents SPD. And the pink brain represents INT. Evolution requirements for Dryndalmon require the use of an item called "Dummy Data" on any Digitama. This results in a Newbie level Digimon of the Data Attribute, Electric Element, Unknown Family, and Ignorance Crest. Dryndalmon's Special Move is called Duplicate. When used, Dryndalmon creates a copy of itself. Mechanically, this grants an additional Action and Blocks an incoming Attack at the cost of halving the user's HP.

Been a bit! Mainly been scatter-brained elsewhere. Following up the profile-pic change, also changing the format of the Fan Digimon. Decided that Dryndalmon was a good "Example", but I might go back to others and reformat them too to spruce things up and flesh them out.

AI incorporated into artforms should be use as a filler, rather than a substitute. If there are gaps, like having a singer, its acceptable to have AI take that role. But using generative AI and claiming it as your own talent isn't too productive.
