Today I was so proud of my fellow Americans 🇺🇸 many in the rain, beautifully, peacefully protesting from Maine to California, the attempted coup and undermining our democracy and the rule of law. I’d felt a little hopeless lately, and YOU are the reason we are all ready to keep fighting tonight! 🙏🏻🇺🇸

My 79-year old momma was there!
Now the real work begins. We protest more, we march more, we make up songs about the movement, we run for office, we organize ourselves and build up our volunteers to do phone banks and voter education… we elect and support leaders who take a stand, fight, and use all the tools available to resist!
I wondered about this too… and when I came home from the protest, I started reading about small towns everywhere and I realized that we are not alone. There are Americans everywhere who believe in our country. YOU were the reason I felt that way today!

We need to stop glamorizing overworking. Please. The absence of sleep, good diet, exercise, relaxation, and time with friends and family isn't something to be applauded. Too many people wear their burnout as a badge of honor and it needs to change
The cocoon stage of healing is when all you want to do is: rest, avoid small talk, and no longer take part in the chaos of other people's lives. It's lonely, but liberating.
She needs to know she isn't meant to do it all. She needs to know life isn't supposed to be a chronic sacrifice. She needs to understand the reward for pushing herself beyond her limits is disease and exhaustion.
There’s nothing that gives me ample time for contemplation, for self-pity AND the smallness of I all AND a renewed passion for all that could be possible- like horrible, debilitating #backpain. 🙌🏻
