The Nintendo DS is a weird, time anomaly. I'm always surprised by how early it appeared, AND how long it stuck around.

I am incredulous of every release outside of 2007.

The problem is that the game is unpopular for no reason. Just a mix of it being promoted at the game awards, not being HL3, and bugs. The reviews were bombed at launch, but when you search for reviews from people who played a good amount, they're positive. Don't they at least deserve a chance?

I haven’t even heard of this game, but I do remember in the bad place there were definitely clout chasers who jumped onboard every effort to dunk troubled launches into oblivion.

Forespoken was definitely hit with that, along with Soul Hackers 2 (on a much smaller scale).
