Highly speculative but I have to think it's to some degree just due to the changing dev environment as Ninty has shifted to the Switch. Three Houses was a smash hit, getting a Musou game to itself, and has follow up coming, but pace has still slowed. To me that suggests overhead is an issue.

I saw a couple of comments from animators on the project who did seem prrrrretty frustrated about it lol, Avatar almost seems a little cursed when it comes to release and distribution
Anyway to seriously answer the question I'd love to bankrupt the ABC's drama division with a reboot of Escape from Jupiter
- Phantasm Arm
- The Yukikaze Couple Series
- Vivid Fragment Online

Yeah, reportedly it was left as an attachment on an email to a person outside Nickelodeon.
That's right: wet, dry, reduced and glossy

Doing a little fist pump when I open an award winning novel and see that it's written in present tense
'Just a matter of getting that out of my head and onto the page' tale as old as time
Main thing is intentionality. If it's apparent that the scene has a purpose then readers will tend to accept it, and it will help you understand what should and shouldn't be in the text. The way a thing is done can also express character. Readers may not be as accepting of that though lol
Just an incredible view

<<Can you see any borders from here? What have borders given us?>>
'Cake' is certainly an exaggeration. Truth be told I don't know that I have made an accurate comparison between the US and Australia because I looked at bread that gets sold where I live, and mainlanders don't eat the same bread lol
This seems extremely vibes based. I went and looked up the nutritional labels of a few different American breads like Sara Lee and Nature's Own and they do tend to have more sugar per slice than comparable Australian brands. Pepperidge Farm is double, even.
Having played all of those games I have to say that seems kind of reductive. Even the two games about a criminal adopting a kid during the zombie apocalypse aren't really all that similar thematically. Gears 4 is also like ... a son game. But in a very dumb way lol
What we should always remember is that relentlessly chasing trends is probably less significant in a writer's success than random chance :v
The underlying point that you shouldn't sacrifice your art just to chase success is a fair one, the idea that all on trend writing is exclusively ruthless publication optimisation is sometimes a little presumptuous
