At least 254 killed in Israel’s devastating attacks across Lebanon Israel carries out 100 strikes across Lebanon in 10 minutes, health minister says hospitals overwhelmed with victims.

Where to find the words anymore?

What to say when Israel continues to behave like this?

And no condemnation at all from the UK Government. They carry on business as usual as if Israel aren't carrying out genocides in both Gaza and Lebanon.

Scottish Labour pledges £30m to top up artists’ income to a living wage Anas Sarwar says scheme would be part of overhaul of arts funding in Scotland Labour has pledged to spend £30m on giving Scottish artists and musicians a living wage, mirroring a similar scheme in Ireland guaranteeing artists a basic income. Anas Sarwar, the Scottish Labour leader, said the scheme would be part of a deeper shake-up of cultural funding in Scotland by integrating arts and culture into the Scottish government’s economic strategies if his party won power in next month’s Holyrood election. Data meets demagogue. Paul McNamara didn’t let Farage hide behind “leaflet” waffle—just pinned him down with facts. This is what accountability looks like. #r4today

Who's got a piece of Wes Streeting?

Who's got a piece of Wes Streeting?

Wes Streeting having the chutzpah to tell the story about the NHS.

He doesn't tell the bit about how much he's accepted from private healthcare and the risk our NHS is at under this Labour Government.

And most of all, lots of questions about his meetings with Palantir.

I love Croydon I have zero doubt that anti-fash will outnumber these pricks but the EMBARRASSMENT of it. The audacity. We sat thru hours of community consultation & steering groups to talk about this building's future. Didn't even contemplate it could come to this.

Nigel Farage to hold Croydon rally as part of Reform UK election campaign Nigel Farage and Reform UK will hold a rally at Fairfield Halls in Croydon on March 28 as part of their London local election campaign.

The next BAC, they promised. Croydon's version of the Southbank.

6 years later we've got a dead building, theatre co's can't afford to put work on, community groups outpriced, but AH! Farage & friends welcome! Oh great ! Actually ! Fairfield Halls wtf

let's not insist that theatre is a training pool for working on screen. I know this is a bad faith read, but it also feels important not to make theatre become TV and film's kid sibling/ training pool to take care of. that lens really narrows the lens of what good and valuable theatre can be.

As Nigel Farage is now so concerned about the influence of "foreign-born voters" can he finally explain why a Kazakhstan-born billionaire appears to be bankrolling his own political party?

Theatre cannot save us.
But it can keep something alive that the present order depends on extinguishing: the sense that another way of being together is not only imaginable, but felt.
Fight for theatre that does not provide solutions but enacts the possibility that alternatives can be rehearsed.
