From his posts, I thought there had been some sort of Entente Cordiale.

It looks like he just wants to try and use your account to boost his own profile.

I did notice that. It's almost daily over on X, followed by a plug for his book.

Where is this journalist now?

It would be fascinating to know if there was an anti PW agenda at the MM or if the journalist was just venting their own feelings on his music.

15 year old me would not be able to stretch to seeing S*M*A*S*H in NYC so it would be Dodgy.

That's a fairly decent and kind review by 90s standards of the Dodgy gig.

These 90s reviews are pure gold.

I can remember hearing it and not knowing it was the Stone Roses, but I loved it. It still sounds great 30 years later.

I'd have expected this cover earlier in the year, maybe Jan/Feb 94, before Parklife was released, and Blur moved on from the MLIR Mod look.

Does the article talk about bands, or is it about people and a scene?

I guess this would be because record companies were awash with cash from the late 80s early 90s CD boom, so just chucked cash at bands?

Exactly this. The politics, whatever the persuasion, and all the bot accounts is just too much now.

That guy is trying to be helpful by posting journalists he likes, but all that will happen is sooner or later the echo chamber will turn on it's self and it will be Twitter version 2.
