If you can make it through the slog of the first chapter it’s much more easy to digest. I’m not a fan of the stream of conscious narrative style, but it all clicks together close to the end in a very satisfying way. Still one of the hardest reads i’ve ever sat through

Spent this international break finishing The Sound and the Fury by Faulkner. An incredibly hard yet rewarding novel that contains one of my favourite openings to a chapter I’ve read.
