I forgot to post that I FINALLY finished Ruin and Rising. 2.25 stars. I hated it, but I've also read worse, so I didn't give it a 1.

I'm reading the final book in the Shadow and Bone trilogy, and I hate it so far. It feels empty compared to the second book, and that things are happening just to happen...and the things that have happened to further the plot are just dumb. update: I'm a little over halfway through The Mirror of Beasts by Alexandra Bracken. I love the vibes of this world, and the monsters are so creepy. Emrys has consistently been my favorite character.
