Today, she is continuing that momentum as a student in Grace Institute’s Healthcare Administration Program, building her skills and preparing for the next step in her healthcare career.

After more than a decade in the US, including her work with the Permanent Mission of Ethiopia to the United Nations, Semenework made the decision to invest in her future through education. In 2023, she earned her Medical Billing and Coding certificate from Borough of Manhattan Community College.

From Ethiopia to New York City, Semenework Habtie’s journey is a powerful example of dedication and growth.

Through your guidance, our participants strengthened their interview skills, built confidence, and feel more prepared to take the next steps in their career journeys.

Job training for women, from millinery to AI - Stavros Niarchos Foundation Grace Institute is consulting with industry experts as it builds out an AI-specific specialized training that will build on these core skills. In the meantime, a cohort of 112 women between the ages of 18 and 64, like all those Grace Institute serves, began the AI-infused core program in January.

We’re honored to partner with Stavros Niarchos Foundation on this important initiative and to support our participants as they prepare for the opportunities ahead.
