Republicans are funding Trump’s war in Iran with over 1 trillion dollars in cuts to Medicaid. His stupidity is costing more than 15 million people their healthcare coverage. Let that sink in for a minute.

We know money in politics is bad, we know that congress is misaligned with public opinion, however incumbents have a massive reelection rate.
There is a cognitive dissonance that cannot be explained entirely by money in politics.

I actually think if you can take the time to make the caveats around indigenous communities, you can take the 3 seconds to say that Black American’s ancestors where systemically targeted and trafficked when you say “we’re all immigrants”.
Republicans in Congress separately voted to strip public broadcasting of its funding, and that damage is real.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which has kept local stations on the air for decades, is gone.
A federal judge ruled Trump’s attack on NPR and PBS unconstitutional.
The First Amendment is clear: the government can't cut funding to a news organization simply because it dislikes their coverage. That is textbook viewpoint discrimination. The court called it out.
But here is the hard truth.

The $191 billion ICE slush fund came at expense of Medicaid, food assistance, and support for veterans. Republicans chose warrantless searches and brutality over compassion for American families.
