In a storm on the ocean would a boat be safer under water (if it could go under water)? *If a boat had an ability to submerge to avoid storms

Where has the creator gone? Did he abandon his creation?

“I don’t care what kind of ships you choose to build, but even if the ships you built hurt someone or even if they destroy the world, at least the one who created them must love them! Their creator must not deny them! Don’t blame the ships! A man should be resolutely proud of the ships he created!”

“It wasn’t my intention to remove any of them”

You did remove the one that you railed against UBI

You also use manipulative language with your UBI guests

Why don’t you don’t admit you’re against it? Have a discussion

If a UBI were to be realized rent exploitation would be more exposed than it is. It would force the payers of UBI to see rent pricing for what it is, price gouging, exploitative, wage slavery enslaving, resource gatekeeping, closed commons, privilege pronouncing, and theft

Results of a new UBI experiment:

“Stocks were up 1000%. Recipients watched more news.
The UBI paid for itself 100x over.
Startups and investments were up 100%
Portfolios nearly doubled
All the wealthy people’s dreams came true
The poor remained in poverty and were more subservient”

Are you an employer who hates paying minimum wage?
Do you want your business to make more money? 💰

Here is a thread 🧵 on the minimum wage and how a UBI would possibly make you more money

Dane who was literate wanted to say something but didn’t.

He didn’t have an abundance of the pieces of paper that rich people give you for taking their orders and felt bad about it. He looked down and felt ashamed

“The worst thing I can imagine is poor people getting food & shelter for free”, said Terrance hearing about UBI, who was rich & had food & shelter

Dane nodded, who was poor but spent a lot of time w Terrance

“They never had food or shelter before employment”, said Terrance who was also illiterate

The one reality that is being created is the political horror story

I blame the news and propaganda departments that skew reality

It’s so boring and predictable

We could live in and create and visit other realities but don’t bc of greedy pos

What a waste

With a UBI people can visit other realities

When I was growing up without worry (financial or housing) I would visit places & experience briefly the worlds other people lived in

It was strange, enlightening & sometimes emotional

That doesn’t happen anymore

A UBI would allow us to create & visit

It’s bc they are old & selfish & refuse to learn

Your job if you want it is to teach them this

Conservatives & boomers & some other groups see the world as a win lose scenario

“If I win, you lose”
“If you win, I lose”

To them someone has to lose

This is zero sum thinking

But they have heard of “win win” situations but don’t see life that way

*This commentary is playing devils advocate

Ethically and morally UBI is the right thing to do
But all that aside UBI could make businesses / corporations more money
It’s win win
But their brains only seem to believe or see win lose

The last post is the insult part directed at those who are fight against learning. I can’t forget to offend people who argue against their own interests and maintain horrible oppressive societies

Anyway corporations, run by greed focused humans, & businesses would / could be saving money on wages but they are too immature to see it

They are like babies that if you give them a marshmallow & you tell them to give it back they will get ten back but they eat it immediately

Institutionalized

“I will punish you for not going to work using threats and starvation and homelessness!”

Instead of “I will reward you for going to work using disposable income, social participation, expanding ideas and progress.”

Positive reinforcement and freedom to choose rather than wage / work slavery

But they love or are used to the Monsters Inc method that oppressive societies use. We will get profits from the old painful slave / carrot method rather than the free choice / reward method

So all these employers and corporations who are against UBI are stupid bc they could be having the government pay the minimum part of the minimum wage.
Walmart knows this. They have the gov offset their low pay. They have welfare signs in the break room.

11 months ago 0 0 1 0

So if a UBI was covering basic necessities there would be no need for a minimum wage. Any wage would be disposable income. And the employer would have to raise that wage to incentivize workers. Or do profit sharing. Or take serf royalty payments

11 months ago 0 0 1 1

If people had a UBI the minimum wage would become moot. The goal of the minimum wage was the minimum amount a person needed to cover basic necessities. The gov hasn’t raised that in years. Us not enough. The year they stopped raising it could be said to be the year they became corrupt

Yes, that's one of the strengths of UBI. It would provide upward pressure on wages for jobs people dislike. This would also accelerate automation of those jobs. On the flip side, it would subsidize work people enjoy, enabling more people to do those forms of work
