Cycling done, just 22km today, seemed short after yesterday's 30km and lung-busting climb. Lovely being out in the sun and greenery. Bit windy but nothing too bad. ๐ด๐ฆฌ๐จ
Morning Sheep Time
Not raining, yet at least. Sheep all at various stages of deployment in the bottom field; a good insertion of discs. Some extra bits of biscuit given to some; Panda butted me in the knee. That's how I know he loves me. Pony continues treatment in the middle stable.
A bunny which ran along the fence and into the rhododendron at the end of the Sheep Time video.
Bonus bunny at the end of the Sheep Time video.
Bicycle on a hopeful charge although it remains to be seen how the weather will pan out.
Three sheep standing in a line next to a fence. From left to right it's Brambles, Dom and Panda. Shortly afterwards Panda butted me in the knee.
A queue of wool.
Two fluffy sheep viewed from above. The lower sheep has a bit of horn visible and a hand is removing a stick from his wool.
Buster you've got a stick in your wool. (He had MULTIPLE sticks in his wool).
Others who look at you as if to say "a BICYCLE? on MY quiet rural road? The NERVE!" and glare you evils as you go by.
5km, 520 calories disposed of. Met an actual horse who had never seen a bicycle before. ๐๐ด๐ฆฌ
Tried the horse loop on my long ride. Knew I was in for it when there was a swingeing downhill at the start of the loop, leading to an inevitable reciprocal uphill which had my heart pounding and which I just about managed to grunt my way up in first resisting the urge to engage max assist. 30.
Morning Sheep Time
Another nice morning, Panda first to arrive and boisterous with it, giving taps to both me and Giles. Both the little ones feisty too, even Brambles joining in. Warm wool and cuddles. Bicycling later this afternoon if this weather holds.
Skippy resting. What looks like sunbeams shining down on him, giving a numinous glow to the top of his head.
Boss in sunbeams
Panda in repose in the summer skritching spot
His Royal Fluffness
A very fluffy sheep grazing, framed by a bit of tree branch. Further bits of fluff can be seen at places on the branch where skritching contact has previously been made.
Fluffy unit.
A pile of wool desperately snoozing.
Look at these vicious, violent beasts. terrifying.
Panda looking almost buffaloid as he grazes his way towards me for cuddles.
Stick some horns on him and that'd be quite a good bison impersonation. ๐ฆฌ
Another view of Buster from below.
Dark Side of the Wool
View of Buster from below his front. His wool is occulting the sun.
And all that is now
And all that is gone
And all that's to come
And everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by a very woolly sheep with a fractional number of horns
Buster cudding viciously next to my ear.
Now I am being held at cudpoint.
Buster coming at me with his terrifying horns.
They say you should never befriend a ram.
A fluffy sheep with a fractional number of horns approaches.
What a load of fluff
Road back from the Black Horse is sufficiently rural that I'll be fine should an emergency piss en route be required, too.
I'd love to be able to drive my bike to do some rides further afield, such as the new Teivi valley bike path which just opened.
I'll ask next time I am at the garage.
I wonder if it's possible to get a rack suitable for an ebike for my e-Corsa. A brief look seems to indicate that the kind of rack I'd need (on the back rather than on top of the car) need a tow hitch, which I don't have and which I don't know if they can even fit to the EV Corsa.
I got a gold star in the app too, for distance. 26km. A really fun 26km too, there's some cracking downhills.
I anticipate a good few summer evening rides thither over the coming months. When it's actually open. ๐ด๐ฆฌ๐บ
Morning Sheep Time
Sheep all in a line by the gate to the bottom field this morning. Full insertion, extra to Skippy whose sore hoof we will take another look at later. Incarcerated pony in reasonable spirits given the circumstances.
