Merry Beymas y’all 🤶🏾
With the recent flooding and virus outbreak in DRC, non profits are working around the clock to help as many people as possible. That work can only been done through donations.
If you’re able, please consider donating using the QR Code below.
Thank you 🙏🏾
It’s been a minute since I been on here.
Back with another gift guide for you. This is for the folks who don’t play when it comes to their style, from the dress down to the accessories.

This one’s for the introverts that love their space curated to the T. Whether it’s art on the wall, a comfy sweater, or even just a good place to journal.

Now this part of the bookish gift guide is dedicated to the reader’s favorite thing: the merch. These items can be shopped at Black-owned businesses in person and/or online.

So this initial gift guide was longer than expected so this will be a two-parter. Part One is exclusively book gifting for some of my favorite genres.
These books have been favorites of mine and many others this year. I would even go as far as to recommend each author’s individual backlist.
Imagine being triggered by a Black owned bookstore opening during a time dozens across the country are closing down due to harassment and bomb threats from racists.
Take that Twitter energy back over there.
This gift guide is for the food lovers. Whether you’re a foodie creator, chef, or someone who just loves to eat. This included appliances, cookbooks, and even food items that make great stocking stuffers. Full guide available on my substack ( 🔗 in stories and bio)

Kay Jay’s GFM is at $6,210/$10,000
She’s so close to her goal but donations have slowed down. It’s important we get her to her goal before the new administration rolls in and housing prices get higher.
Whatever you can give will mean everything to her. Thank you 🙏🏾

If you’re in Atlanta this weekend, there’s a new Blackowned bookstore opening in Marietta tomorrow.
Books, wellness items, reading areas
Spend your small business Saturday supporting a Black owned business.

You already know I had to come through with the gift guide this year. This year, I wanted to highlight the Black owned businesses I love.
Today is for the beauty girls. You can see the full guide in my recent newsletter (🔗 in bio)
Do something BEFORE they ban it. Show up, speak out, sign that petition, email governing authorities, donate to a grassroots organization, use the library, write an op-ed, resist.
After they ban it, continue. Make noise, file a lawsuit, and don’t stop.
Support those doing the work.
Repeat.
I have no idea what living room outfit to put together for tomorrow.
The last donation to Kay Jay’s GoFundMe was almost 3 days ago. Progress has slowed down when we are so close to her goal.
If 1/4 of my following on here were to donate at least $5, we could get her to her goal.
If you’re able to donate, please do 🙏🏾

No Black Media Fall video this week but the newsletter is out today. Next week however will be the first week of Black Media Winter ❄️ and y’all are definitely gonna like this one.

This week has been the busiest for me work wise and I’m proud of myself. Comparing to where I was last year, it’s crazy how much I’ve been able to do and it’s finally paying off.
Got to sit down with Clifton Prescod about the importance of photographers in marketing, the creative process in the digital era, and who is on his work wish list.
Check out our interview below.

The very first Palestinian family I started to advocate for completely lost their campaign and now have to start from scratch. This is an extremely devastating blow to what little hope they’ve been holding onto.
This is Boshra & Mohammad- a disabled couple in N. Gaza. 🧵
