Sometimes, for fun, I do the RAADS-R test to see what score I get. It is tough for me to do questionnaires like this bc I usually pick up on the pattern quickly and get worried that I am not answering as authentically as I could be.

I overthink EVERYTHING. TBH that may be a sign already 😜

I ate a sandwich yesterday with cheese on it, something I havent done since 2021 when my parosmia started and OMG, it tasted bland and fine. For the first time in 4 years, cheese didn't taste like chemically rotting flesh.

It sucks so hard to be in the stage youre at but it will get better! πŸ’œ

This was the same thing that happened to me and my husband. He never experienced it like I did, but we also caught very diff strains of COVID. I had the first one in 2020 and he had like whatever mutated nonsense it turned into in 2022 or so.

I threw out all of the cheese in the fridge when it happened to me because I thought it all went rancid. That's when I realized something was wrong.

Keep a food journal with dates because things will get better, it just takes like years πŸ™ƒ UGH

Supplements and smoothies with added supplements and protein are what kept me from completely fading away. I had so much guilt and shame over it and would cry a lot because no one else understood what I was going through.

Remember that fed is best, whatever that looks like for you. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

The exact same thing happened to me. Like exactly the same timeframe and everything. It got very bad for me and I lost too much weight too fast because I couldn't stomach anything.

I couldnt even eat a lot of fruit because it smelled and tasted rancid. Grease was really bad. Coffee too.

It took 5 years for this to get better for me. I am so sorry you are going through it. It's traumatizing.

I ate with nose plugs for about 2 years. I still can't eat much dairy because it has never come back to tasting "normal".

If you ever want to scream about it, I am all ears. You're not alone!

Catching up with @naddpod.bsky.social episodes and the Short Rest for Ep. 3 got me remembering that I graduated high school with the superlative "Most likely to marry a computer."

It was the year 2000 and like it wasn't wrong? Lol πŸ‘½πŸ›Έ

Maybe next time I should wear a Swiftie tee or something. Like be really annoying about it.

Or maybe I will knit a sweater that says, "bad taste" across it. 😏

It makes me so mad when folks past judgement on stuff like that, as if taste isn't subjective. As if what your coworker does with their money is any of your business.

Gosh it annoys me to no end how folks put down others just to make themselves feel bigger.

I am not even the biggest Swiftie and I hate going to big concert venues because crowds make me anxious.

But like, I know for a fact that if their coworker had spent their savings on seeing a more "credible" performer, the convo would have been very different.

Sat at a dinner table tonight while someone went on a rant about how "insane" it is that one of the folks they work with saved up for 3 years so they could go see Taylor Swift.

Picture me, sitting there with my emotional support friendship bracelets, listening to them talk. And talk. And talk.

Started reading the new Emily Henry tonight thanks to the librarian program over at @libro.fm that gave me early access to the audiobook πŸ“šπŸ˜

The Libro app now has bookmarks so you can make notes while listening and daaaaamn, Hayden didn't just say that!!!

The notes people leave for me at work are usually intended as jokey jokes but dang, this hit me right in the gut.

I wonder what my work pal would say if I told them that note finally made me get off my butt to really start working on my newsletter?

(And yes, I dealt with those books too lol)

Cast on a week ago and making excellent progress. The bobbles are labour intensive but very fun to complete!
