Maybe he has a crush on you and the only way he can express it is via the impersonation of a teenager 🤷🏻‍♀️

If one of my party's recent prime ministers had redecorated the Number 10 flat in a way that ended up involving TWO separate inquiries and a Wikipedia page, I would simply not have put out a press release confirming that the current prime minister had spent less than the allowance he was given.

Incoming Hungarian PM Péter Magyar calls for the UK to rejoin the European Union:

"I remember when I was a diplomat in Brussels... We were able to influence decisions. At the time, the Brits were also part of the EU. Let's hope they will rejoin."

I do miss @mrjamesob.bsky.social when he’s off, I love the monologues. Reminds me of that line in Hamilton “I’m looking for a mind at work”. I have no doubt he’ll have much to say - and he really does have magnificent callers.

So in just one week, you threatened to nuke 93million people in the Middle East. Then you didn’t. Your wife declares she didn’t know Epstein but she did. You sent your best team to negotiate a ceasefire while you and Rubio watched UFC. Then you endorsed Orban who lost?
Am I missing something here?

"Vance" is a useful new verb in the English language, and one consistent with our Latinate heritage.

Compare:

➡️ ADVANCE: To move something forward.
⬅️ VANCE: To cause a situation to decline or devolve.

In a sentence:

"Donald Trump's second term vanced the American economy."

What it will do is create a powder keg situation where they detain vessels paying for transit.

But what would I know? I am just an expert on merchant and naval shipping, mines and international trade.

I am sure Jared Kushner and JD Vance have this covered right?

He simply will not stop unless we stop him. That duty lies with Americans - with the judiciary, with the political class, with demonstrators, with journalists. The events this week ably satisfied the conditions for removal from office. But the country is lost. The right is now a leadership death cult. The left lacks all conviction. It is therefore up to other countries to try and erect a firewall against his actions and limit them wherever possible.

No sending out the king for a ceremonial visit. No jetting over to Washington to try to save a defensive alliance. No holding your tongue for fear of precipitating a crisis. Every single political action must be based on providing obstacles to his behaviour, limiting his room to maneuver and thwarting his ambitions.

“He must be stopped. That is the task of all right-thinking people, from the lowliest campaigner to the highest world leader.”

And those who crawled up his backside must be stopped too. That’s you, Farage and Reform, and every rightwing ghoul that enabled you.

Now, here’s the thing. The big orange man baby and his wife are notoriously litigious. So why are they not threatening to sue all and sundry? Disclosure I imagine. But then I’m a bear of little brain so I could be wrong.

So nothing has changed from my article posted weeks ago (posted in the comments).

This has all just made the situation worse - and made it more complicated by increasing the expectations of the public without fixing the issues.

Non-armed merchant vessels can not just go sailing into minefields.
It is irresponsible to the lives of the sailors to expect it.

It is also against the principles of protection of the environment and will never be accepted as an insurance risk.
