For the last few months, I kept a document where every time I saw reports of fed immigration agents shooting or pointing their gun at someone, I made a note. The list grew and grew. It now includes 4 deaths. Here is what I noticed keeping that list.

I didn’t get a great sense of the characters’ personalities from their appearances in c3. Jester definitely seems like the most fun. After a few episode of c2, I am very curious about what Caleb’s arc will be.
Watching the @gothamfc.bsky.social match and saw a weather delay called there at our home stadium, caused by a sudden, apocalyptic thunderstorm.

The culprit? As expected, the heat, with temperatures in KC well over 90 degrees.
I have a hard time understanding how @nwslsoccer.com & @kansascitycurrent.bsky.social could not have come to this decision before 11,500 people packed into a stadium and players warmed up when we have been in a heat advisory for days. Your CBS slot is not worth risking safety!
Can confirm that multiple fans were treated for heat related illnesses at the match. bsky.app/profile/like...
The A-Leagues learnt their lessons, and in the peak of summer games don't kick-off before 5pm local (New Zealand games the exception), and even then we still occasionally see heat delays or players competing in insane conditions. This needs to be fixed and fast.
A summer soccer league is going to face some serious questions as climate change progresses. Time to institute better policies and management to prevent this from happening again.
It was not safe for fans to be waiting around in that heat for hours either. I’d love for NWSL beat reporters to probe why the league didn’t address this much earlier, given the clear warnings. And why schedule a match in Missouri in mid-August at 3 pm in the first place?
To be clear, I have no problem with the decision not to play. It was not safe for players. But why was it not made and communicated to fans until after the kickoff time? The NWS issued a heat advisory two days ago.
Most competitive league in the world (whether you like it or not)
Final score in Kansas City: 0-0
1 shot on target each.
KC .75 xG to Orlando’s .15
And we all basically moved in for 8 hours at CPKC Stadium.

Spent 3 hours at CPKC Stadium this afternoon in the broiling heat. After repeated weather delays, I finally had to take my party home about an hour before the @kansascitycurrent.bsky.social game eventually kicked off. Beautiful stadium. Can’t wait to watch a game there.
After following the entire Bell’s Hells and ExU sagas, I’m starting @criticalrole.bsky.social’s Campaign 2. Curious to meet these young characters I’ve only seen thus far much later in their lives. If you need me, I’ll be Wildemount.
After following @criticalrole.bsky.social’s campaign 3 from the outset, I’m now going back to start campaign 2. Is it worth it to go on this journey with the Mighty Nein?
Neil Barsky, founder of @themarshallproject.org, paid tribute to longtime contributor @tommyrobb.bsky.social, the late, great investigative reporter whose searing stories exposed abuse and injustice, especially in our prison system. www.themarshallproject.org/2025/05/29/t...
Reading up on the new FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, not to be confused with the CONCACAF W Champion’s Cup. Gotham FC’s win in the latter last night earns it a berth in the former in January. They’ll face the South American champ with a path to possibly play Arsenal in the final.
GOTHAM FC ARE CONCACAF W CHAMPIONS
Onward!
Mate.
My local club, @gothamfc.bsky.social is playing in the Champions Cup semifinal in Mexico tonight. 🤞🏼
European Trophy. First in 41 years. Drink it in Spurs fans, drink it in 🍻
I’m sure I’m not the first person to ask this, but when can we get a Women’s US Open Cup?
This is amazing 😎😂 #coys
COYS!!!
In my newsroom years, every time we built a resource it died. It’s not just that the teams don’t make them, but also that the organizations don’t understand how, or want to, maintain them. It doesn’t fit the model.
The whole shop is set up to crank out *news*. The business is ephemeral by nature.
Thank you for pointing this out. Company culture can make or break the weird ones.
We need to be accepted with kindness whether or not we save Christmas.
Wait… does… is it now technically Olympique Lyonnais Lyonnes?
Olympique Lyonnais Féminin -> OL Lyonnes but the OL still means Olympique Lyonnais?
Is this like ATM machine?
I would wager many, if not most, of the people at PyConUS have had similar experiences. What struck me was how they explicitly wanted to turn that on its head and make their community welcoming to people from a broad array of backgrounds who’ve been through it too.
