A random headcanon I have for the Animal Crossing series is that the Clerk (and Emcee) from City Folk is the same character on the loudspeaker in the opening of New Horizons.
Both are faceless, feminine-sounding characters, so I thought that announcing things could just be a job of theirs 🤷‍♂️
