It is not my opening btw. Even tho the first image I posted is my painting. I was just thinking about why I don’t like to paint too much. SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE PAINTERS.

I wrote this to you from an art opening of paintings, naturally.

Still there is something melancholy about a painting. An object that is stuck to a wall. It’s 3 dimensional character stunted. A flat image that depends on viewing distance. And contemporary painting is so boring so in love with its substance and not the illusion. Mostly anyway. Mostly.

The reason is hard for me to traditionally paint is that I would want to be good at it. Like, I love Titian.

It would also hurt my heart to know that in 200 years should it survive that painting will be turning brown on a wall somewhere at best.

painting on copper mitigates this to some.

All I’m saying is that it’s not AI.
