Secondly, they wanted to focus on the energy of the triangle. The triangle symbol holds power in the world of Sharks , as “The Red Triangle” of the Bay Area is represented classically in the background of the Sharks logo. This Sharks Pride night triangle of the crest shares the likeness of the currently developed Equality Flag, with the many spectrum of colors representing the diversities of sexuality and gender. The pink triangles in the hockey stick tape recognize and support a long-developed symbol in the LGBTQAI+ world. In queer culture, the pink triangle is a symbol reclaimed by the community from WWII persecution. (Here the text is broken up by the Sharks logo as described above, and a teal SJ) Jazz wanted the jersey to give off a steezey, proud, and powerful vibe, much like their intentions and ethics of designing tattoos for folks. They love the power and contrast of the black fabric and dark and bold designs amidst the ice, while representing teal as much as possible.
