The Law will now go to the Privy Council for Royal Assent. The Assisted Dying Bill in the Isle of Man has been awaiting Royal Assent for nearly a year. This has the potential to cause a democratic crisis. Jersey’s Assisted Dying Law is not expected to come into effect for at least another 18 months.
