Doing lipids on previous gen of orbitraps with HCCT/narrow aperture funnel is a pure fun and joy. Especially looking at that cholestadiene peak in NL 1e8 range. So, who are lucky enough to have these machines and unlucky enough to do small molecules - set your RF to max 20% (this spectrum 40)

Applicability of wide-pore columns in reversed-phase liquid chromatography for human blood lipid profiling For the resolution of isomer-rich lipid extracts, it is a common practice during RPLC method development to evaluate column efficiency and mobile phasโ€ฆ

Our recent delivery for those in lipidomics community needing faster methods or dealing with buiky species. Enjoy!

Lipids from 200 nL of breast milk sample with M3/IQX. Total 942 hits after removal of generic crap.

Not bad, but the problem is narrow inlet of IQX. Badly want to acquire the same thing on Ascend with HCCT.

A nice new toy in the lab! Can centrifuge thick-walled LCMS glass vials (available from vendor, also with surface treatment).

But Waters TrueView also work pretty well ;)

Time to play with interesting low-volume sample preps!

Snapshots from the lab. Xmas-2024 "just for fun" experiments end up in some very useful solutions. Contents of the shiny metal box to be revealed somewhen during the spring -)
