Going to post some updates here finally - been in a drudge even after gaining confidence in the direction of my work.

Wow ya didn’t think the parameter gave extra hints at the functions purpose but seeing the full call written out makes it look real nice. Basically it’s this:

storage.CanFit(index, item)

easy way to sort an array of materials by name, alphabetical

plug this class into Array.Sort(array, new MaterialSortClass())

I use it to sort of standardize the order of materials so I can use the same indexes to change material textures
