A bigger year than last for me & my Switch. I did a lot of gaming with my daughter playing or watching me play. She loved Link’s Awakening, Echo’s of Wisdom, Mario Wonder and Super Mario RPG! A lot of these games fed the explorer in her and helped her sharpen her problem solving and reading skills!

Spent the day at #paxunplugged the besties! Played games, trades pins, got to hang with even more friends (old and new) and go to a concert of PAX all-stars that closed out an amazing event! More pics to come!

I played Pokemon Red at launch. I was so excited to begin my journey! Who knew I would still be just as excited playing through each and every generation of Pokemon games to this very day?
This was the first half of team I took to fight The Elite Four today! Pokemon Red is an all time classic and these monsters are gonna make a Champion outta me!

Shovel Knight represented a refreshing return to retro games through a rousing reimagining and reinvention of some classic favs. I replayed this game redundantly; before any dlc.

I rented Mega Man Soccer so frequently from Local Video (it’s not just a clever name) that the owner of the store let me keep it!
I don’t want to sound line THAT guy but I beat this fight on the first try. Had a harder time beating Raditz within the time limit or the alt path battle where Vegeta turns into Great Ape mid fight. Great game though!

Finished the story for God of War 2018. A moving tale of fathers and sons, parents really, and the things we do to keep our kids safe and sheltered and how that can backfire even with the best intentions. Also lots of axe throwing and creature slaying. A truly great game.

Picked up some fun crafted items at a local Art Harvest Festival. The Caterpie and Butterfree plush are adorable. The 3D printed items are cosplaying Care Bears. The Goku is perfect, Mega Man is wonderfully derpy and Ash is so detailed it’s amazing!

So I got an Xbox One in February and have done very little with it. After canceling Gamepass I decided to check out Sunset Overdrive on a friend’s recommendation. In doing this I realized how inexpensive Xbone games are and started a collection of exclusive titles!

Currently reading Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree! This prequel to Legends & Lattes pulled me in immediately. The concept of “cozy fantasy” oozes out of this tome as it did the previous. I am so happy to experience a young Viv during a formative time! Whatever Travis writes I want to read!
Nine Tiles Panic from @oinkgms is a fast paced town building game that is perfect for any game night. It is easy to learn, independently competitive and the art and aesthetics are simple, clean and cute.

Every once in a while I find some Japanese cartridges and have to pick them up. I have no idea what these games are but have always loved the shape of the carts, especially for the SNES.

The first time I sat down, as an adult, and really gave Gen II a chance was when Pokemon Crystal was released for the Nintendo 3DS. Putting the Game Boy Pokemon games on the 3DS was a truly perfect move. I now love this ultimate edition of the Gen II games.

My copy of Phantom Dust has arrived! My pal, The Dez Man, mentioned it to me when chatting about tactical games like XCom and Midnight Suns and I had never heard of it before! Had to get a copy!
