Israeli settlers shot up a Palestinian school: it's barely in the news.

We all know if the roles were flipped, it would be nonstop coverage, with open calls for another genocide.
This isn't the 1th time:
Settlers have been doing similar terror attacks nonstop.

Mamdani pick for Council seat draws the ire of LGBTQ+ leaders The mayor is backing Lindsey Boylan in a district represented for decades by gay lawmakers.

This is a lazy story, trying to stoke a fight between Mamdani & LGBT NYers.

@lindseyboylan.bsky.social will be a GREAT legislator for LGBTQ NYers.

Former speakers Corey Johnson & Christine Quinn were tools of the ruling class & not v good for most LGBTQ NYers.

“Representation” is not enough. Queer liberation is intertwined with liberation for working people and for people of color. We need a leader who is unafraid to challenge the systemic injustices that keep all of us down. And that leader is Lindsey Boylan.

'When I returned from Gaza they called me a hero. But I felt I was a monster' Some of Them Killed Civilians in Gaza; Others Just Looked On, or Witnessed Abuse and Cover-ups in the Name of Revenge. Now They're Trying to Cope With Something a Bit Different Than PTSD

Radical idea: don't be a monster, and don't be part of a monstrous force.

At the city council hearing on these bills, one of our elected officials said that buffers at hospitals would protect queer people.

Us queers want to protest at hospitals right now because of them stopping GAC for minors.

My advice to Carl Wilson: tokens get spent.

Also: It didn't "drew the ire of LGBTQ+" leaders.

It drew the ire of a very specific subset of cis gay men, mostly white.

CD3 has been a "dynasty" for decades:
Cis-white-gay-man anointing their staffer to take over

Maybe okay when they're the best candidate for our community. Now they aren't.

You can also see it in the policies.

Boylan's platform is promising us queers $35 mil.

On Wilson's platform, his queer "policies" amount to "Tee hee, I'm a gay boy who's totally not a Menin puppet."

Boylan would do more to honor the legacy of Stonewall than Carl Wilson's no-policy-having ass.

This is pure BS.

I have personally known @lindseyboylan.bsky.social for around a decade. She has shown up for the entire LGBTQIA community, for trans rights, for trans youth - with inspiring consistency. Far more than many "gay candidates." 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

As a proud trans activist, I have been continuously proud to know and be politically aligned with Lindsey Boylan.

Not only do I think she would be the best for everyone in her district, she has been there for us.

This article has got real "This seat was promised to us 3000 years ago," energy.

First & foremost, @lindseyboylan.bsky.social is more than deserving of this endorsement.

Second & just as important, fuck this headline. Lindsey didn’t accuse Cuomo of harassment. Cuomo harassed Lindsey. Period. She is not an accusor. She is a survivor-advocate. Show some respect. Report the truth.

Breaking News: Mayor Zohran Mamdani endorsed Lindsey Boylan, the first woman to accuse former Gov. Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment, for New York City Council.

Dude. Christian conservatives (& Christian liberals!) using “Pharisees” as a shorthand for evil / hypocritical / tyrannical is “just how they talk” BECAUSE of antisemitism. Antisemitism was so embedded in Christian rhetoric for centuries that you all see it as “normal” religious language.

I encourage everyone to read this from @benlorber8.bsky.social.

Antisemitism is always bad on its own. Period.

Plus, it never stays on its own. Antisemitism historically brings with it many other ills.

In practice, there is an existing custom going back at least 1,000 year, with a liturgical Mi Shebeirach and practice to do the name change at the Torah, usually on Shabbos morning.

Would love to walk you through it!

From a Jewish POV, you don't actually need a Beit Din for a name change! Changing a name (besides the many mentions in the Torah), is clearly mentioned in the Talmud (Rosh Hashanah 16b), the Zohar, and more.

In halacha (Yoreh De'ah 335:10) it's also accepted, just required that it's in synagogue!

On Yom HaShoah, we pause to remember
the six million Jewish victims of the Nazis’ systematic program of mass murder, along with the millions of others murdered by the Hitler regime. We remember the scale of this horror, and the systems of hatred and dehumanization that made it possible —
and that still echo in our world today.

In New York City, home to more Holocaust survivors than anywhere else in this country, that memory lives among us and shapes who we are. The resilience of survivors is woven into the very fabric of this city, and it calls on all of us to act with courage and clarity in the face of injustice.

Today, as antisemitism rises once more, we are reminded that remembrance alone is not enough. We must confront hate wherever it appears.

As we light the yahrzeit candle, let us come together to protect its fragile flame — and shield it from the cold winds of hate and cruelty.

“Never again” is a promise. And it is one we must fight to keep.

In total, 25 of my direct grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great- grandparents went through the Holocaust. 9 survived, 16 perished.

🕯Thinking of this today - and the fact that in my school growing up, this was unique.🕯

Not because three of my grandparents were survivors, but rather because only three were.
The vast majority of kids had four grandparents who were survivors, with few to no great-grandparents who survived.
