I can only hope that this will start to change. We've seen some of the changes with women gaining the right to vote, with the civil rights movement, with marriage equality. But we have so much further to go.
I will keep hoping that we can reach our greatest potential.
Our country was founded by people conquering other people. By stepping other civilizations and eradicating them entirely, in many cases. By hating those who came after them wanting the promise of something better, only to turn on the next. That's who we have always been.
