Nothing to see here, just Nature advocating LLM peer review.
“Feed your dictated notes into an offline large language model (LLM) to clarify and organize your feedback. A simple prompt such as “Write a critical reviewer letter based on the following notes. Maintain a professional tone throughout”
Assembling the scientific program of an interdisciplinary conference is no easy feat.
Luckily #EWAF25 has a stellar team of program chairs: Doris Alhutter, Thomas Grote, Ana Maria Corrêa, and Cynthia Liem (@informusiccs.bsky.social)!

As a student, you imagine "science" is based on people carefully building upon each other's work.
Then you get into AI, and it seems it's actually a bunch of people yelling random things into the void in the hope somebody will listen to their Very Original Idea™ surely nobody has thought of before.
A screen grab of two posts by @hildeweerts.bsky.social. The first post, posted 2m ago, is a repost of a post by the European Workshop on Algorithmic Fairness, stating the official submission templates (including a Word template) are now available. The second post, posted 1 day ago, expresses a dislike of Microsoft Word.
I would like to emphasise there is no relation whatsoever between these two posts.
Prepare to submit your (interdisciplinary) work on algorithmic fairness: EWAF'25 is now open for submission! 📬
The official EWAF'25 submission templates (Word, LaTeX, and Overleaf) and a link to OpenReview are available in the updated CfP 👇

😭
Well at least they didn’t ask an LLM to do it for them.
Make k-means cool again!!!
There are no words to express how much I dislike Microsoft Word.
Dear @facct.bsky.social authors, can you please please please refrain from advertising your preprints during paper bidding? 🙏
I'm trying really hard to avoid learning authors' identities but it seems the only way of doing so is to avoid social media entirely 😅
📣 2nd Call for Papers
EWAF invites (inter)disciplinary submissions (both full papers and extended abstracts) on algorithmic fairness!
Conference dates: June 30 to July 2, 2025, in Eindhoven, The Netherlands!
Submission deadline: March 13, 2025
Full call for papers: 2025.ewaf.org/submitting/c...
Same…
it also seems the idea of Teams is to randomly fail to deliver chat messages to reduce workload, a pretty neat feature if you ask me
But how do you know???
Curious to see how long the skies will remain blue!
Pros: no posts from phony stark every time you open the app
Cons: suspecting you’ve been added to some starter pack but having no way to find out which one???
Super excited we're hosting the Fourth European Workshop on Algorithmic Fairness (hashtag#EWAF2025) at Eindhoven University of Technology!!!
Get ready to submit your interdisciplinary work on algorithmic fairness before March 13, 2025 🥳
“Inmiddels” 😭
