I recently wrote a piece for my Substack called "Prozac fundamentally altered how I listen to music."
There's a link in my bio if you'd like to read the entire thing.

This is the future liberals want!
Days like today, where we put up a bunch of discs that we did ages ago for sale, really is such a thrill to watch. Every order that comes in, you get to see someoneās tastes, and what gets them excited.
We get to sell joy to people. A very specific, nerdy joy. How cool is that?
Artists, show what built your style!
I got too many but these were the first 4 that come to mind
One last thing, hereās a timely blog post from stack-overflow. Itās pitching learning as a way to fight the brain drain from using these tools. This was more or less what I was thinking - learn/develop stuff as a hobby. Which, again, means less time for socials: stackoverflow.blog/2026/04/09/g...
This is not an apology for these tools. Using them puts me on the wrong side of history. Yet another layoff in tech wouldn't be a big tragedy in the grand scheme of things, but, lord help me, I don't have a "Plan B" yet.
My employer is literally gonna measure how much I use "Maude". This metric is something I'm concerned about because the job market has chilled. Moreover, its talent pool has swelled following round after round of layoffs in tech. So it feels grim for careers in software development right now.

For context, this is something that's coming from the top-down across the industry. I'm much less optimistic than this podcast, but it summarizes expectations well enough: www.nytimes.com/2026/04/14/p...
I need to take a social media break. The team at work is trying to get me to use⦠letās call it āMaude Modeā. Despite my reservations, I donāt have a practical alternative, so Iām gonna focus on trying not to lose my job for a little while.

riichi city is the soldier that takes all the arrows so that mahjong soul can sleep comfortably in bed without being accused of being horny. its $25 "this character will now perform a sex act on your home screen" skins are the noble sacrifice it makes
This is the sort of thing I would have hated 20 years ago but now it so, so precious.

this happened a few minutes later. Buy this Blu-ray and watch this ridiculous-ass show, you will not regret it
Hell yeah, thanks!
How are the cases? The RACS newsletter complained of loose discs.
Higher quality proof that Viz's recent DVD box set for Captain Tsubasa: Jr. Youth Arc is indeed a tri-audio release including Japanese, English, & Spanish audio options, alongside English & Spanish subtitle options.
I don't have the first series set yet, but I imagine it's the same exact options.

Iām sure that silpheed game sucks but I always wanted to try it anyway
Here's an updated pic of my budget Treasure game collection. I'm up to twenty official, relatively inexpensive releases from one of my favorite developers, plus an Alien Soldier custom-made by @magictrashman.bsky.social in a bygone era.
The third impact special
As someone who runs a web store, having an email box that is answered by a real person is REALLY not a huge lift. I do not understand why techbros think that using Wile E. Coyote-tier AI is some massive unlock.
Have nice trip!
Listening to new cast of Chess, and just hit Svetlanaās new song. Plausibly a lost ABBA track from a 1979 recording session in Stockholm? Works for me. music.apple.com/us/album/he-...
You gotta schedule what I call āunstructured free timeā where you pick something leisurely or a chore youāve been procrastinating on and do it at your own pace. That gives breathing room for whatever other tasks or thoughts come up along the way.
