Like on one hand it is parry/dodge action combat but on the other hand it is the most intense live babysitting/caretaking experience I have ever seen replicated in game form

dart around as a combat medic, interrupting your current fight to go save people before they die and managing the overall battle morale bar as well as the health bars and positions of every officer using the minimap and the combined speeds of your horse and your personal ability to kill dudes.

How would you classify Dynasty Warriors Origins, a game where you fight hack and slash action combat on a battlefield BUT you are also responsible for the lives of your allies, who will actively "cry for help" enabling you to heal them by sprinting to their rescue so you often have to (1/2)

Some challenges involve keeping every ally alive, which means managing a massive battle while darting from combat zone to combat zone protecting and healing everyone and following the cries for help.

(To a degree earlier musou games are like this but the system is extra pronounced in Origins)

In Dynasty Warriors Origins, you zoom across the battlefield killing everybody while your side fights. If an allied general starts losing, their hp lights up and they 'cry for help', which activates your ability to heal them by literally charging across the map to their rescue and getting nearby.

I do recall at least SOMEONE I know losing everything but I'm reasonably certain that's not *supposed* to happen provided you have and use your old battlenet details.

I have no personal experience; I would if I decided to try Overwatch again but I've been free since 2018 myself.
