Drowning meme, showing Bluesky leadership paying attention to AI while the codebase drowns, and why's phone dead at the bottom

lady wearing a shirt that has been badly edited to say "I joined BlueSky and all I got was blocked by the technical advisor who tried to cool his phone off in a pool and also this jpeg of a t-shirt"
symmetrical baroque hallway, lit very bright, at its center a naked woman squirming in an opulent chair, her head wrapped in a cocoon suspending her from the ceiling in a massive spiderweb like structure. She is backgrounded by a tall picture frame.
I have woven you a dream of exposing and observing.
A screenshot of @why.bsky.team's profile, indicating that he has blocked me. Nice!
Oh, excellent. I didn't even need to ask.
oh no D:>
photo of a pygmy falcon chick from the san antonio zoo. it is a downy white chick sitting on a red nonslip mat, photographed with a quarter for scale. the bird is very tiny and its eyes are closed with its beak open in a way that seems as if it is lamenting its existence.
honestly shout out to san antonio zoo for posting The Most relatable baby animal picture of the century, as someone who is forced to hold a day job and feels like i get about that much money and feel that kind of emotion on the daily:
Zardoz-ass prompt, I love it. <3
An image titled 'ALL THE OLD ROADS' A picture of a tree down a winding dirt path with a forest in the background. There is a faint mist on the ground and clouds overhead. The text reads: "It's getting late. The spring air is rapidly cooling, fueling a storm overhead. Time to look for shelter. Miles back, Lacey had been grateful to see the woods on the horizon. Had promised herself that, once she reached it, she could call it a day. Her every aching joint wants badly to cash in on that promise. Now, seeing it just makes her nervous. She knows the woods, but she doesn't know these woods, and rain will put her at a disadvantage. Muted sounds; muted scents. Still-- it's here, finally. She's caught no sight or scent of her pursuers. And the old bay mare she rides needs a break as badly as she does."
Okay, phew, sorry for the delay on the CYOA. Part of the reason is I wanted to give it its own page off bsky, so I did!
Scene 1 is compiled, and I'll start putting together/resuming updates for scene 2 tomorrow.

A fake install screen for Microsoft Windows 95. On the left quarter of the page is a teal panel showing the old wavy Windows logo, with "Microsoft Windows 95" written up its right side. In the remaining space of the page, in black serif text on a white background, is the following text: Title: Enjoy This While It Lasts One of these days, the idea of just putting Windows on your computer will be a distant memory. Forget sharing a product code, your permission to use Windows will be stored on a centralized server where we can revoke your access at any time if we think you're not giving us enough money. Adware installed by the manufacturer is "unthinkable?" Better start thinkin' it, buddy, 'cause that's FAR from the worst thing we're shoving into your PC. We'll even try to make you use a fake digital person that plagiarizes art and books and also lies to you. Welcome to the future, motherfucker. You should probably just use Linux Mint instead.
Having lot of fun with @alice.averlong.com's Death Generator :3
Well, 'cute' is a thing, so. It's that! :D
A screenshot of a poem reading: Respectability Schmectability All my friends are whores and ruffians This is the undeniable truth: We are the people in the corners We are proud to be thieves and sluts You wave your rainbow flags Complacent in the shadow Of acceptance —marginal Of tolerance —conditional I reckon you forgot the truth: That all my friends live in the corner And one day, so may you Maxi Molina
I don't usually share my poetry, but this one from last year is just evergreen every time a new payment processor censorship bullshit pops up
a patch/sticker design depicting a rough cut of questionable looking meat, surrounded by the text "THEY ARE ALSO / MADE OF MEAT"

Today I saw a unbelievable photoshoot of 4 insanely hot women based on my newest story, received a beautiful ring as a gift from an admirer, and a mutual told me they namedropped me at a gay bar to get laid. Unspeakable things happening to my ego rn
This is one of the most insane things that's ever happened to me and at this point there's a lot of competition

User dratsab huffman asks the question: To amuse myself i researched revacholian nationalism as well as measure head's race theories etc etc and focused my character on "traditionalism". Anyway, ive noticed that if i ever click dialogue options that are in tune with my character's political compass, i lose morale. Whats the point of having this as a mechanic if its going to be so detrimental and feels like the character doesnt believe he actually is this or something... is there anyway to overcome that kind of morale loss?
Recalcitrant Jester replies: Being a fascist is a deeply demoralizing experience. You have to not only radically alter your worldview to make reality fit into your unhinged schema, but that worldview is predicated on the notion that the weakest, most unworthy degenerate worms on the planet are somehow overpowering and humiliating you on a moment-by-moment basis. In mechanical terms too, the lowered morale also reduces your volition score—the more you indulge in your delusions, the less you are able to exercise self-control and self-awareness. The point of fascism being mechanically detrimental—the ludonarrative theme—is that fascism is an unequivocally self-destructive ideology, the practice of which only serves to nurture that self-destructive urge and turn it outward. It's not like Dark Side points in KotOR where you can access cool new abilities and get to enjoy being such a nasty lil rascal; you are not supposed to enjoy being a fascist in Disco Elysium. Fascism is the act of self-deception in service of making your own life more painful, solely for the payoff of making life more painful for people you dislike.

Meme with a photo of a fountain drink machine with a cup sitting under two nozzles (red and blue), a hand pushing both buttons at once and liquid coming from both nozzles. The blue (left) drink is labelled "grateful for the insight I have gained from all my experiences" and the red (right) drink is labelled "still thinks some of that sh*t should not have happened". The hand is labelled "me".
-Gosh-. o_o;
This doodle features my fox-sona Nikki chilling upside down with her head on the floor, staring at you. Also, mechanical bits for funsies :3

The Free Speech Coalition is serious about starting an adult industry credit union. Part of this is being able to show regulators that enough people would use it, so please fill out this form if you're interested!
(Yes, credit unions can issue credit cards!)

Often child predators frame themselves as "helping" children access things - such as porn or alcohol or drugs - that children are not allowed to access because of their age, presenting themselves as a "cool adult."
Locking things behind age verification gives them more tools to exploit.
I need to stress again that requiring ID for age verification is technically unnecessary, and yet more evidence that the point of these laws is to end anonymity on the internet, not to protect children.
He could not force himself to understand how banks functioned and so forth, because all the operations of capitalism were as meaningless to him as the rites of a primitive religion, as barbaric, as elaborate, and as unnecessary.
Emily 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ @EmilyEnough@hachyderm.io My biggest problem with the concept of LLMs, even if they weren’t a giant plagiarism laundering machine and disaster for the environment, is that they introduce so much unpredictability into computing. I became a professional computer toucher because they do exactly what you tell them to. Not always what you wanted, but exactly what you asked for. LLMs turn that upside down. They turn a very autistic do-what-you-say, say-what-you-mean commmunication style with the machine into a neurotypical conversation talking around the issue, but never directly addressing the substance of problem. In any conversation I have with a person, I’m modeling their understanding of the topic at hand, trying to tailor my communication style to their needs. The same applies to programming languages and frameworks. If you work with a language the way its author intended it goes a lot easier. But LLMs don’t have an understanding of the conversation. There is no intent. It’s just a mostly-likely-next-word generator on steroids. You’re trying to give directions to a lossily compressed copy of the entire works of human writing. There is no mind to model, and no predictability to the output. If I wanted to spend my time communicating in a superficial, neurotypical style my autistic ass certainly wouldn’t have gone into computering. LLMs are the final act of the finance bros and capitalists wrestling modern technology away from the technically literate proletariat who built it.
