Hello from Ely!!

I've lived in the Fens before, so I know what to expect. Interestingly, the locals say that the hospitals in Ely and Newmarket have recently been upgraded and are now very good.

Soham, 4 miles from my son in Ely. Two-bed apartment in an 85-unit Sanctuary complex, shared ownership. Privacy but support on site.

Specialist hospital care here is poor. I needed an air ambulance to Liverpool after a month in hospital. All sorts of problems for my wife. We need family support, hence move to sheltered accomodation near our son. Sorry to hear about fracture.

Waves back. Forsworn social media apart from one weak moment in hospital. Moving back to England, with considerable regret, for health reasons. How are you?
