Digital graphite on toned paper background. A fluffy kitten face, tabby -like markings, large ears with pointy tufts on the ends, mouth wide open. Kitten has a third eye in their forehead and two curling horns. Around the drawing in a scratchy spooking lettering style are the words ‘Maybe it will happen today’ along with some strange glyphs and symbols.

A digital illustration done in simple contour lines and rough pencil coloring on neutral tinted paper background of a woman reclining on a surface in a faint. Seen from a foreshortened angle from her knees and feet. She’s laying on one hip with her torso twisting to supine. The back of one hand lays across her forehead and the other is held limply on her ribs. Her head is back and her red curls spread out on the ground around her. She’s wearing a white, voluminous and old fashioned night dress. Orange lettering in an Art Nouveau style to the right reads ‘Maybe it will happen today’.

Profile of the nose section of a B-17 bomber painted in olive drab and gray. Under the cockpit is a painting of a pinup-style lady who happens to have a guillotine for a torso. There are arms in the sleeves of a military jacket extending from the sides of the guillotine frame, one is holding an empty basket and the other is saluting. Below the hole where heads go sides wearing a short, pleated, olive drab skirt and her legs, covered in gartered nylons are curled up under her. A discarded crown is upside down behind her. In front of her across the nose is text reading ‘Maybe it will happen today’. Much of the rest of the nose is covered in mission markers but instead of bombs they are small images of guillotines.
Two lines of three dimensional sans-serif letters colored in gradients of blue and purple reading ‘Maybe it will/Happen today’. Above the ‘y’ in’ today’ and with its bottom point nestled neatly into the fork of the letter it’s a similarly dimensional golden pentagram with little flares of golden light glinting off its vertices. The entire lockup is superimposed over a glittering rainbow as it all streaks together through a black void.
Big bright orange lettering in a vaguely graffiti/marker style with big black drop shadow reading ‘Maybe it will happen today’. At the bottom in front of the lettering is a small cartoon turtle with a little hourglass on its back.
A digital pencil-style drawing of famous professional wrestler, film actor, and game show contestant Ox Baker. He’s an immense, beefy bald man, with sharply angled eyebrows that curl into points and a long, voluminous mutton chop mustache. He was known for wearing custom message tees that said things like ‘YOU WILL HATE ME’ and ‘THE GREAT HEART PUNCHER’ but the white tee he is wearing here reads ‘MAYBE IT WILL HAPPEN TODAY’.
There’s an elk going one way, and an elk going the other way, joined in the middle. An impossible 2-way elk. The only on the left is colored in warm orange tones, with cooler colors on his neck fur and antlers, and the one on the right is mainly cool bluish with similarly contrasting parts. There’s abstract colors in the background suggestions of a sunrise. Around the middle of the 2-way elk is wrapped a light colored banner going around three times, just slightly tilted to the right off of vertical. Written on the banner are the words ‘Maybe it will happen today’.

A digital illustration of Godzilla silhouetted against a red and orange fire-colored background with his back spines all glowing blue as he blasts nuclear fire at whomever you would most like to have nuclear fire blasted at. Go ahead and make a wish. Jagged lettering on Godzilla’s back and shoulder, also glowing blue, reads ‘Maybe it will happen today’
A tribute to the King, Charles Schulz. Lucy Van Pelt is sitting in her psychiatry booth, looking depressed. Sitting on a stool next to the booth is Charlie Brown, looking depressed. Instead of the normal text on the front of the booth it reads, ‘Maybe it will happen today’. With the ‘today’ being on a little removable placard.
This is a lot so try to hang on. We have a digital illustration of a fantasy creature. It starts on the left with a tail with a three-lobed spade-like end, leading into a spotted orange body. On the side we can see are three mammal-like rear legs, all nested up against each other, each larger than the one before, and each ending in a red hoof. Just in front of the largest leg, the body opens up into a fat petal-like structures out of which sprouts what I guess we'll call a neck. Now, just below these petals two little arms sprout out of the 'chest' of this thing and are holding a vertical yellow, sculpted bar that ends in a large ring that the 'neck' of the creature is passing through. There is also a blue antler-like bit branching off the side of the ring but that's not important. So having passed through the ring, the 'neck' curves down, sprouts a blue forked structure out of the top, and then splits into more petals as before. Another 'neck like structure, now yellow emerges from those petals almost vertically. This structure has a bit of an orange swell at the end of it before, again, opening in petal shapes and a final purple stem curves up and out of those petals, The stem has a larger banded end, and a final opening with three pinkish stalks sticking out and that's where we are out of space. Lettering above whatever this is reads 'Maybe it will happen today'.
Show poster for the band Lotus supporting several tours of cephalopods functioning as blimps, dirigibles, etc, floating above Red Rocks
I already did that one too
A digital illustration somewhat in the manner of a colored engraving. A whaling ship under full sail in rough seas trying to outrun a storm on the horizon behind them. Meanwhile a sperm whale many times the size of the ship and with feathered wings instead of fins flies above the ship with unknown intent. Wide block letters above the whale read ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
The four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (live action 90s versions) looking their heads up from under a manhole cover with a wide angle cityscape background. Over the cover is generated text set in the same way as the title of the TMNT cartoon reading Maybe it will happen today’.
Digital illustration in a cartoony colored pencil style. First we have a snail with a shiny handlebar mustache wearing a top hat, the tail clinical portion of which is an hourglass. Snail is being ridden by a cartoon turtle (snail and turtle relative proportions are not realistic) wearing a brown derby, pince nez glasses, a red corduroy vest and a wide yellow tie with red polka dots. He’s looking at a large gold pocket watch and also has a large wristwatch on his other arm. These chronographic devices are not making events happen sooner. A series of speech bubbles from the turtle read ‘may-be-it-will-hap-pen-to-day’.
Honestly thought I'd already done this one but now I have

A digital illustration of a young girl, 10 or 11, with short, dark hair with bangs and wearing an old fashioned dress with long sleeves and a large amulet around her neck. She’s floating in space, arms out and palms up, toes pointed down, and looking upward with a neutral expression. She is being lit sharply from below with green light and her eyes are glowing. Arrayed around her in space are several writhing, branching tentacles reaching upward. Behind all this is a dark purple fog surrounding a central glow mostly obscured behind the girl’s dress. Below her is a black miasma that the tentacles are emerging from. The blackness also surrounds glowing green writing in an eldritch, chthonic writing which reads (you just have to trust me on this), ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
A digital illustration in a fairly loose painterly style of a street pigeon tailing flight with a slice of pizza clapped in their little grabbers. Hand drawn typewriter-style lettering around the pigeon reads ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
Once again, I am a severely under-employed freelance illustrator/designer. If you're enjoying the nonsense seen in this space a bit of support is always welcome.

A loose digital painting of magnolia blossoms on a branch. They are against a rectangle of sky blue that is itself outlined in a blotty, splattery darker blue outline. Some yellow scripty lettering in the top left corner of the blue reds ‘Maybe it will happen today’.

A cartoon-style digital illustration shows a platypus, wearing a yellow and orange striped shirt, green overalls, thick wire rim glasses, and with the stump of a stogie in his bill. The platypus is flying a disproportionately small and fat old red monowing propeller driven plane. The top of the platypus’ head is a hollow in which is seated some kind of hamster or other small mammal, also wearing a red striped shirt and a propeller beanie. He is working a control stick emerging from the platypus cranium and holding a pair of binoculars. Finally, seated atop the tail of the airplane is a green gecko wearing a blue turtleneck sweater. He’s holding a pole to which is attached a yellow banner on which red lettering reads ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
A curvy rectangle shape colored in a multi colored gradient and with a similar but contrasting coloring a related wormy pattern throughout. The whole shape has been cut through with thin mono weight lines that cut it into letter shapes sort of in the style of a 60s rock poster. Highlights have been applied to the letter shaped to give them some dimension. They spell out ‘Maybe it will happen today’.
